Was Tommy Lee's GF in the first series, can't remember? Or has she just materialised?
Nevisson, the business guy, it was his daughter who was kidnapped in the first series, yes? And she is now a PCO? And his wife is the one dead in hospital?

In a word yes.But there is some stunning countryside within a fifteen minute drive away.
Re plot:-
Another good episode tonight, difficult to see how the D C Wadsworth can get out of this one, with DNA evidence, unless he burns the house down...I don't think anyone saw him going up the steps.

Interesting view.If you meant the coincidences of all the events happening / unfolding between these linked characters I think I understand what you mean.
The fact that it's presented such that you can pause and see each character's perspective on their own sense of problems, I think excuses the car crash!
You would hope you wouldn't say it, but in the Cop Shop the PC that makes the inappropriate black humour comment about Ma'am - or the idiot sacked worker that at least has the balls to face his employer at the funeral: does boss man show the compassion his wife would or flip out - copper confronts bunny-boiler just getting more deeply uncomfortable whatever he does. They manage to give you an excellent bit of breathing space around each unfolding drama.
(In TV-land...) Overall it's no worse than all the murders in Oxford - hundreds of 'em. Or what about Shetland? That's full of people killing each other!
