Saw the twine in his car last week, or week before.

It's still possible the shepherd lad was using prostitutes - not murderfying them, but to him it was still beyond the pale in his mum's view...?

The sister's new boyfriend is quite the catch. They'll be more to uncover yet.

The best bit was the murderous DS getting his own back on his wife - a superb scene imho.

really enjoyed last nights, I felt that this series was not as good as the first, but it seems to be improving.

My uncle reckons she shot herself. With a rifle longer than her arms. She could've lifted the barrel and shot over him if she couldn't bring herself to actually do it.
He never actually said he killed all the women, only that he'd done horrible things, like hired them as prostitutes maybe? He is clearly capable of violence without much thought though, given his hammer antics by the shops.

I'm not convinced it was him or only him.

Indeed, not sure what "quite the catch" means but he's certainly weird and given that he disappeared for 3 days it seems the writer want to draw him into the frame. I'm still waiting for the freaky woman to light the blue touch paper!

Neil will be asked questions about Vicky I think and will be in a bit of bother.

If there is just the one episode to go I think its probably the shepherd boy. Saw blood on the window so presume he got shot. But will his mum tell the police? If so they'll probably then want to find out who killed Vicky. Does the detective pin it on neil?

A lot to wrap up anyway. Probably leading to series 3 as I cant imagine it will all be sorted as we have the psycho christian teacher. Bad guy in prison. Neil. Farmers Wife.

If plod checked Vickys phone they would see loads of calls to guilty plod (cant recall name) - this is a terrible faux pas from the writer.

Thought last nights episode was brilliantly written and acted - the elation of the copper when they charged the lad with all the murders and thinking he's got away with it, to being crushed when they realised the lad probably isn't the murderer... and copper is back on the hook.

Good point; they know his number was on her phone, and he knows that they know.

Maybe they're watching him and gathering more evidence.

The final scene with the Mum and son, the conversation they had and what she did to him reminded me of the end of Of Mice & Men.

Do you think? If I'd just murdered someone then I would delete their contact details and texts from my phone. Besides which any decent affairer would have 2 phones to keep the secret from his wife. I know that's not been stated here.

Neil's the one for me. But a bit random why the son blurted out his suspicion that Neil could be the ripper.

The copper who killed Vicky was asked by his superior why she had his number in her phone, he brushed it off saying she was questioned about some other investigation a long while ago and he must've gave it to her.

This must mean that any phone records would show a lot of recent activity between their phones, including the day she was killed. The phone records should've been a line of enquiry already you would think, but I bet it surfaces in the final episode.

I have no clue who the killer is, I'm not convinced it's entirely that lad. Maybe Neil, which would make a fitting conclusion, probably him having Clare in mortal peril and Catherine saving the day.

Unless he used another mobile payg as people often do when having affairs. Or so I'm told.
