Arrow has turned out much better than i expected and is easily one of my favourite shows at the minute. I wondered what the direction was going to be with Barry and the accident so this excites me.

I also like the idea the they will continue to tie in to the same universe.

Now a series.
2nd episode is out in the US.

"The CW’s new superhero series on Tuesday night debuted to 4.8 million total viewers and a 1.9 demo rating (per finals), marking the network’s most watched and highest rated series launch since The Vampire Diaries in 2009 (4.9 mil/2.1)."

Shame that DC didn't sort themselves out and get both series tied in to the movie universe.

So far it is terrible, but give it a little while to get over the "ooh look at me running" stage and hopefully it will improve.

If he can bloody well have a whole conversation in the time it takes to drop sugar into a cup then 6 people will not cause him any issues in a fist fight. He's the flash, a punch travelling at normal pace should never come close to hitting him.

I actually thought the first two episodes are ok, quite watchable. smile

Yes, you can pick holes if you want (as per spoiler above), but you can do the same with all the much lauded Marvel creations of recent years. I was bored with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D after 2-3 episodes and didn't make it past Ep. 6 or 7 of Series 1 !

It's a comic book story, made into comic book tv, take it as it is. First two episodes have given me more grins and entertainment than Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D did in half their first series, with wooden acting, mediocre scripts/dialogue, and cost-conscious sets and fx. Aye, controversial !! laugh

they could have made it at least a bit different to Arrow:

team of 3 backing him up - check
shady arch enemy with hidden past - check
in love with a policemans daughter - check

lazy script writing. i'll stick to Arrow.

Watched this from the start. Better than Arrow as it plays with a straighter "bat". Who is Wells? And Mark Hamill as the "Trickster" is superb. Just watch for the "legacy" reference!!

Belay That Wells reference. To Quote from another Sci Fi series. Wibbly wobbly Timey, wimey......

I'm up to date with Season 2. There is a proper crossover with Arrow as well so you have to watch that episode to stay "current". All leading to "Legends of Tomorrow". However they seem to be setting up quite a few extra characters as well as bringin in a few others via Earth 2 where the Alternate Wells has come over to try and help Barry defeat the latest evil Speedster "Zoom". Eobard Thawn The "Reverse Flash" also seems to be making a reappearance.

Yeah it's pretty good.

I watched the first 2 or 3 of Arrow then stopped watching for some reason, I had to go download the episode of it for the crossover. Haven't decided if I'm going to give Arrow another go or not, I don't really like the main guy and find it more difficult to watch than Flash.

I see an advert for some kind of get together show with all of them in it though, like a DC Comics version of the Avengers or something.

I think both are very watchable.

Flash is getting better, but it does continue to open up plot holes all the time, you just have to not think about it too much I think.

I'm a bit out of sink here!

I am just using the Xmas holidays to catch up on Series 1 and am quite enjoying it! I've got Arrow S3 & S4 saved on TiVo too, the problem is I've only watched S1 of that so far so I guess I'm going to have to "find" S2 before I can get any further!!

Returns on the CW this week along with "Arrow". Supergirl and "Legends of tomorrow" to follow next week. The CW is getting a bit crowded so initially LOT is set for a 13 episode run while the Big 3 get 22 each. You can bet if any new seasons fall by the wayside then LOT has a 9 episode back order ready.

Developments this year. LOT has the Justice Society of America, Barry Allen has to resolve "Flashpoint" from the last series. Superman appears in Supergirl played by former Werewolf Tyler Hoechin. A big Cross over of all the DC TV universes in mid season and a Musical Supergirl Flash episode?????

Also John Barrowman, Wentworth Millar and Neal McDonough have contracts to appear in all DC Arrowverse adaptations. as Malcolm Merlyn/Ra's al Ghul, Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Damien Darhk.

And watch out, The CW appear to have Matt Ryan down to reprise John Constantine.

Love Flash and Love Arrow, can't get in to Supergirl and Legends is unfortunately just rubbish. Shame really that I'm now gonna have to try and watch all of them for the crossovers to make sense.
