I enjoyed it - but then, I do enjoy a lot of crap when it comes to this sort of stuff..
To me, it was almost like an adult version of The League of Extraordinary Gentleman.
It reminded me of TLOEG very much...the most excellent Graphic Novel, not the ridiculous film.To me, it was almost like an adult version of The League of Extraordinary Gentleman.
Just watched the first episode. Loved it, it was absolutely brilliant. Some cranky dialogue, but Tim and Eva are utterly believable. I suppose they have shoehorned the yank because it's an American show (co-produced from from the credits it's US heavy and US cash).
Like the Wold Newton family on screen.

Agreed.
So why are adults on this thread seeming to like it?

And Sex, too! It doesn't take too much to please some of us ...
That's Billie Piper there isn't it? (She should not do accents, but I'm always glad to see her) I've not seen Casino Royale so Eva Green HAS done other things, can't think at the mo' where else I've seen her, but I'll still watch.
I mean De Vinci's Demons is near done, True Blood(speaking of ludicrous) hasn't started so what else is there to watch now How I Met our Mother is finished

You have, she almost did a scene from it word for word with exact same ' look down and right' mannerisms every time she makes an observation.I've not seen Casino Royale so Eva Green HAS done other things, can't think at the mo' where else I've seen her, but I'll still watch.

I'll let her off though.
Enjoyed it. There has been some good tv lately.

There's only 1 film she should be remembered for: The Dreamers!
a quick google and that is on my short list - is it any good as a film?as for PD I did groan when I saw the first vampire creature, but will stick with it as it was stylish and fun

I didn't read much about it beforehand. thought it was going to be a period drama, not supernatural - and was worried it would veer into Twilight territory
Yeah I can see how it would come as a surprise.I don't think a simpering 14 year old girl would wanna kiss that vamp though.
I like the idea that vampires are connected to some bizarre Egyptian death cult.
I love the subject matter but my toleance has grown less over the years. If it's on SA then it's probably gonna be good.
Oz, Breaking Bad, Dexter, House of Cards (US), the top US sitcoms.
They should plunder UK telly of the classics from the 70s and 80s and do more home grown stuff.
SA schedules are looking a bit thin at the moment.

Only 1 episode aired so far last Tuesday, it's just been repeated every day since.

What the juddering fk is she saying? It's just noise to me.
Who cares. Really liked tonight's ep. The seance was a 'WTF' moment.
Have to say, I was really annoyed by the blundering introduction of Dorian. I instantly understood who he was from the opening shot, the way he then spoke his name had the feel of a large bludgeoning instrument causing severe trauma to my cerebrum. More subtly please.
Also, that ending...again...WTF! I thought there was another person inside him for a moment!
