Not feeling the love here.
I've watched the first two and don't like it.
My wife however loves it and she only watches twaddle.

Yep, just as I was getting used to Mr Proteus (monster MKII as it turns out) and appreciating a slant on the usual Frankenstein/ Monster tale where we see the monster developing into a reasoned, gentle, normal human-like character; out of the woodwork (literally in this case) appears the first evil Frankenstien monster (Mark I) to cause mayhem.

Excellent! smile
I thought the killer (can you kill someone who is already technically dead?) was Murrays son,the one who died in Africa...shows how wrong I was! The kids were gabbing at the time so I probably missed abit of dialogue

The way he was killed was pretty horrific. Very good!
I had also assumed the yank would be in it more, glad that he is part of an ensemble.

After hearing the monster's story - his first human interaction being rejection, and then later seeing him having fun operating the theatre's tech, we can see he isn't one-dimensional evil, but obviously a complex character.

enjoying this - admirably unpredictable, spookily gothic, and lush visuals

I am enjoying this too. Who else thinks that the Billy Piper character (so she is...) will end up as Frankenstein's creation's bride?

I haven't put spoilers because that is purely speculation.....

I watched this with no great expectation but have been quite pleasantly surprised by it.

There is something about Eva Green that is absolutely mesmerising. It certainly doesn't hurt that, as an actress, she's not averse to getting her kit off wink

Caught the second or 3rd episode repeat after GOT night but hadn't seen Tuesdays episode.

See Billy is happy flashing bum again smile and Timothy Dalton has renewed his Dorian Grey Painting contractor.

Quite enjoying this and how its tying up loads of old horror idea tropes (Mina (maybe harker?) Master obviously going to be Dracula and the odd grey haired guy they chained up possibly going to be Renfield?

If of course it's the same person we are talking about, he's called Fenton in the cast.

As in "Fenton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh Jesus Christ FENTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ps. I think this might be a different kind of Dracula, more the Nosferatu type than the suit wearing smiley tourist.

Would be in keeping with the style I think.

But then, who knows.

bille piper should not be allowed to do accents. ever.
her butchering of an irish accent is a criminal offence.

the seance scene certainly caught me by suprise. a full on 5 mins of open mouthed suprise - made me realise that the whole series will be very adult orientated, which is a good thing!

genuinley sad with what happened to Mr P - i have a feeling that "no 1" is going to be a bit of a handful for Frankenstein.
Her accent is a Derry accent and is pretty spot on IMHO
