I confess that I was a bit sceptical about this series when it started but it's turning into a piece of dynamite TV for me. Love the cast and the general dark, adult-oriented script.

Last night's was episode 5. Or are you ahead of us, in which case leave it until next week please.

Last night's was a tour de force of back-story telling and acting from Ms Green.

bille piper should not be allowed to do accents. ever.
her butchering of an irish accent is a criminal offence.

the seance scene certainly caught me by suprise. a full on 5 mins of open mouthed suprise - made me realise that the whole series will be very adult orientated, which is a good thing!

genuinley sad with what happened to Mr P - i have a feeling that "no 1" is going to be a bit of a handful for Frankenstein.
Her accent is a Derry accent and is pretty spot on IMHO
Indeed. It isn't a bad Derry accent at all IMO.

She was humping the phantom on her bed...... I must confess that last night I couldn't really work out what was going on and what powers she got...apart from a hole in her head which wasn't as big as i thought when looking at his corkscrew dubbery wotsit!

She recovered quie quickly after her lobotomy from a vegetable to what appears to be full health. Potentially possessed full health, granted.

It's amazing what a hard shag with a phantom presence can do.

I read about trepanning. Apparently there are people out there who do it to themselves. Apparently it can feel fantastic. If anyone is bored this weekend--check in with us later and tell us how it went.. wink

I watched this, then the following night watched the new 300 film also starring Eva Green. In contrast to your synopsis above that one is:

Same boobs, no storyline, crappy film (but awesome boobs).

I thought episode 5 (Closer Than Sisters) was very good. A total change of style & pace which some might find jarring, but a lot of exposition & sets up the remainder of the season nicely. Great acting, too.

This isn't a spoiler because I'm guessing... but as we haven't seen a werewolf yet, and Ethan Chandler seemed quite at ease with the pack of wolves at the zoo, is he?

This has really captivated me as a great series with Eva Green being the highlight in many many ways biggrin

Also I love the sets they're using which are sinister and eerie enough at representing their era before you even get to all the supernatural stuff too!

Glad this got renewed straight away too.
