I'm not sure - I watched two last night, one was an old one (by mistake) with a Mk1 Cortina GT, and the new one was the 240Z, Tim was quite annoying in both. Funny to see the Jenvey bloke putting a stop to all the nonsense he spouts to try to blag free stuff.

These are More4 screenings right?

The 240Z with Jenvey ITBs was shown on Nat Geo earlier in the year.

Not sure a retired GP living in a gated mansion, who turns up in a classic Porsche, is really that deserving of their efforts.

Can't help but think this program must get suckered from time to time.

Neither him, nor the chap with the AC Aceca (also in a big house with gates etc.), looked like they were short of a bob or two. Porsche was his son's car, though. I guess they have to weight that up against the type of car being restored and the entertainment factor.

Saddo that I am, I always check on the DVLA website to see if these cars are taxed and tested. An awful lot seem to be sorned. The Aceca which they made such a good job of has never been taxed according to the website.
Smacks of ingratitude to me.

Does anyone know what has become of the Ford MK2 Zephyr Ute/Pickup in the opening credits? Very rare and I've never seen the episode..

You're in for a treat then regardless of Tim Shaw.

As with a few others I can't help but feel one or two of the owners could have well afforded to pay for the work themselves. To then not drive the cars is a mickey take. If you love it so much get out there and use it.

As both of them in the new (to us without NG) series have had health issues, I wonder if they're just not driving yet. Chap with the AC had hardly left the house IIRC, and while the 240Z man was out and about he got a lift in the 944 and there didn't seem to be other cars around when they picked the car up.

There's a comment on here ( http://zclub.net/forum/showthread.php?t=27552 ) that suggests the 240Z is being used, and is currently with one of the posters for an MOT and service, if you can filter out the various bits of name-calling that might be tongue-in-cheek.

They came to a friends premises in one episode and those challenges are just for the entertainment value and the answers are provided off camera.

Watching one of these on a Triumph Hearald, they are giving out the specs and then go on to tell me it does something Kilometers per hour and are also talking kilometers in general distances.

Sorry but we are in fking ENGLAND where we have MILES AN HOUR and speed signs in Miles per hour.

What the Hell is all this Kilometer st? The sooner we are finally out of bloody Europe the better!

It's hit and miss, but I loved the reaction of the lady who owned the Triumph smile

Overall, I really enjoy the show.
