First 4DX. It has moving seats like a simulator, smoke effects, water spray, bubble machines, smells, and wind. It was good in places. When the guns were being shot you got puffs of air behind your head and when helicopters or planes flew over you got wind effects. When SLJ vomits at the end you get sprayed with water. The moving seats was good in places but got a bit annoying during the fights. You got the effect of being kicked in the back and first couple of times I thought it was the person behind me kicking my chair. During the trailer for Jurrasic World they had the effects on for that and I think that would be a really good film to watch in 4DX.
Sounds dreadful 98elise said:
Is the film suitable for 13 year old? My daughter is only 13 and we were planning to go and see it at the weekend, but its a 15
Do cinema's ever enforce the age rules?
I hate to break it to you but my daughters were starting to play the game of passing as 15 at that age, though not overtly in front of their oh so innocent father till later on. (now I get such QOTD as "the bouncers dont look at the ID, they're too busy ogling my bouncers")Do cinema's ever enforce the age rules?
Lukeyman is correct that there is a lot of swearing, sexual references, and gory moments. The 15 cert is about right IMHO. That said, it's probably no worse than Torchwood. As for your daughter seeing it at 13, it depends whether you and she want you to know that she gets the "adult" jokes - it's the teenage equivalent of the truth about Santa.

She can grow up when I'm dead

Saw it last weekend and found it refreshingly original and very funny.
Bond meets Austin Powers meets Harry Potter meets Thunderbirds meets Mission Impossible.
Couldn't have put it better myself. I enjoyed it hugely and so did the rest of the audience. Mrs D fell asleep thou. Bond meets Austin Powers meets Harry Potter meets Thunderbirds meets Mission Impossible.
Something that seems to regularly go unnoticed is that the screen writer is that rather saucy Mrs Johnathan Ross;
Watched this on Netflix one evening whilst on holiday. I didn't know there was quite so much swearing or violence in it, and our 13 & 14 y.o girls were present. Oh, well... no point in wrapping them in cotton wool, eh?
I thought it was funny.
A sequel is already planned, the original having done well in the box office.

Watched this tonight on Sky Movies. Absolutely loved it! Summaries on this page are spot on. Probably the best fight scenes I've scene in any movie, they seemed to have a rhythm to them.
The church fight is a fantastic piece. Re-watch it on youtube and you'll see that its a single "take" following the action from blow to blow. The music really works well too.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
