Saw this last night and wasn't expecting much. Loved it!

Regarding the lack of amnesia-ray(post further up), I'm guessing the toff was allowed to remember because Michael Caine had turned traitor?

I found 'eggsy' very annoying. Didn't see much need for the chav-to-spy side plot? I see enough chavs in real life without having them projected onto the tv screen irked

Would be interested to see a Prequel on this to follow the story of Colin Firths character.

The church fight is a fantastic piece. Re-watch it on youtube and you'll see that its a single "take" following the action from blow to blow. The music really works well too.
I'll never be able to listen to 'Free Bird' the same way again....

Saw it last weekend and found it refreshingly original and very funny.
Bond meets Austin Powers meets Harry Potter meets Thunderbirds meets Mission Impossible.
I really enjoyed this. Totally different to what I was expecting from the movie.

I will add Jayson Bourne to your list.

Saw it last night on DVD and absolutely loved it. Very enjoyable, and it was so much unashamed fun that the plot holes simply didn't matter as it was entertaining throughout.

I remember seeing the trailer for this and thought it looked fun, but then forgot about it.

So I've just seen it on tv for the first time and it was bloody brilliant! I haven't enjoyed a film as much as this for years. If you haven't seen it then make a point of catching it when you can, although you'll need to prepare yourself for extreme violence and bad language, but it really is an excellent romp.

I missed this when ot came out too and only watched it on TV the other night after seeing the Meerkat advert. As you say, it was a cracking film smile

It goes on too long.

On ch4 the other night it was 9pm to 11.35pm.

I gave up at about 10.30 -10.45 ,someone else posted that they lasted only 20 minutes.

I really tried to enjoy it but interest waned and I turned over.

Just caught this. Only took so long as it's one of the films the Mrs wouldn't watch.

Loved it. Great opening Dire Straits riff. Very Shaun of the dead/Hot Fuzz. Looking forward to the sequel.

Empire gave it 4 out of 5- not reading any other reviews until I have seen the film...

The first one was great and pretty ground breaking. I actually think this as sequel is as good as the first and hugely enjoyed it. Absolute non stop action and very funny in parts.
10/10

Went to see this on the weekend and yes I agree there were some very funny moments! Also some redface moments especially the scene at Glasto between Eggsy and Clara!

The stunts were good...at times a little too unbelievable but none the less still as good as the first film.
Shame they had to kill off so many characters frown
