Who the fk ever told Elo that he has any sense of taste or style? He has all the natural eye for line and form of Leepu. Elo also doesn't seem to know as much about the cars as he suggests he does, judging by the fact that he described the Saab 96 as a 4V, when it's a V4.
We should get a PH coach trip together and go to his museum. We might be able to educate the man about how you don't take an Iconic Car like the XJ220 and destroy it.

I just watched an episode of something called "Fantom (sic) Works" that I recorded a while back and never watched.

A bit too much fakery from the boss man, but there was a young bloke who was doing custom metalwork on a Studebaker pickup (one-off grille, reshaped stepsides and tailgate, dasboard) who had more skill (and taste) in his little finger than Elo and Leepu squared.

I'm always in awe of that sort of metal-bashing. I can kid myself that I could do the mechanical stuff, given enough time and the correct tools, but I don't understand how hammering and rolling sheet steel can make such complex shapes. smile

Mind you, the truck's owner was handed a 127,000 dollar invoice, and it was still in bare metal...

If you watch a few episodes you'll see that Dan, the boss man from Fantom Works, seems to specialise in delivering bills far in excess of his initial estimates to somewhat bewildered customers. The customers, whose cars are at that point in bits, are over a barrel with the choice of paying his inflated invoice or accepting a half-finished car.

To be fair, the lack of paint was (allegedly) the owner's choice. smile
