Plenty of action tonight, David should have taken that creep Clayton's head off with that scaffolding pipe, but now the law must take it's course.....he'll be banged up with Big Jim in the Big House, but no doubt he'll out in five,.... so he will.

How long before Johnny and Jenny get it together, Jenny offered him her "full attention"....smile

I think they will get together, but only because there's something in it for her. She's a "user".

The "tall" delivery driver - what the actual was that all about? The production crew even arranged for it to be filmed from above to accentuate the height difference between him and Tim. Maybe an "in-joke" on the set?

Can't wait for Yasmin's reaction when she goes round Sally's for drinks and sees her throw!

I don't like all this filming from above, they did too much of it in the Kylie death episode.

It's Coronation Street not Citizen Kane ffs!

Sometimes less is more.

Maybe they're leased a new boom, and need to use it as often as possible to justify the cost. Doris Speed must be turning in her proverbial. "My Jack would have had none of this nonsense! There was nothing wrong with things as they were. Fred, bring round the Rover, we're going to the Town Hall about this...."

It won't be a leased boom - it will be a freebie loan from Vinten or Polecam - Ta very much say the Production team.... we'll abuse that for a month and then hand it back without any consideration to parting with cash!

Or it might be that the new Producer has a mate who is a Jib operator - so those overhead shots are "essential to the plot" and "Oh... my mate George is free at the moment...."

They recovered it from there didn't they?

Kevin Webster turned it into a banger racer didn't he?

The expected Yasmin/Sally/throw showdown was a damp squib. I can't believe that at no point did Tim reemember that he had accepted a parcel for someone else.

Camera angles-like the sharpest scripts, the cleverest ones tend to be reserved for friday episodes- which sets me up for the weekend nicely .

Incidentally, having put up with 20 years of Sarah Lou's ghastly sniffing and adenoidal muttering I am now at the end of my tether. Blow your bloody nose you irritating girl...

I have to give due credit to Pat Phelan - Yasmeen's orangery looks a decent piece of work.

Why don't they just turn Coronation Street into a commune. That way everyone can have sex with everyone else. Oh hang on.......
The most redundant line in all soaps must be "don't worry I won't tell anyone"!!!!

We all love this show, or else we wouldn't be on this thresd, but sometimes I do wonder why I follow it so keenly. It's usually the humour woven into the script that attracts me, but the writers conceive (no pun intended) the oddest ideas for plots which are no better than the more "downmarket" (my observation) soaps.

This one just doesn't make sense. I know they've been mates since arriving on the street as teenagers, and I know Amy and Simon are mates of a sort, but there's no obvious "connection". Just because she was feeling a bit p*ssed-off one evening, why would it be him she asked round for a chat? Robert would have been a more likely candidate - there's always been a bit of simmering tension between them.

I loved the way the script got Nick, Robert and Zadine all entering the Rovers as she went there to tell the "new dad". Sadly, the media had already let us know what was going to happen. BTW for some reason I thought Steve had had the snip.
