And where does Street Cars keep this bus? We've never seen it before IIRC. Never been mentioned. Anyone would think that soap writers make up scenarios as they go along....laugh.
And didn't Andrea question whether Steve had a PCV licence...

Well , discussion about bus parking and PCV licensing may appeal to some but most of us are happy to suspend our disbelief- it isn't a documentary.

You're right, and I don't allow it to spoil my enjoyment of the show.

Unfortunately, I'm the sort of person who shouts out in a cinema "that wouldn't actually happen!" when a car bursts into flame for no apparent reason. My daughter refuses to go with me. smile

I wonder what the storyline will be that ends "Deidre's" time in the street.
I assumed that she would just die suddenly whilst overseas, but it was announced there would be a send off later in the year.

If Carla needs CPR, they've only got to ask............I'm just a phone call away.

I thought Simon Gregson put on a great show tonight, that's a side of Steve we have never seen and he played it well, in fact the whole crash cast did well, very good episode and it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I can't agree with this - I was disappointed. The whole thing was played out like an episode of Emmerdale or Hollyoaks. Cliches and wooden acting. Nobody even tried to ham it up. OK it was supposed to be a serious episode, and I didn't expect any humour, but it wasn't IMO up to the usual writing standards of the show. There wasn't even realism - given a busload of women, surely there'd be at least one who screamed incessantly and annoyed everyone else?

Having said that, the things that happened that night give the scriptwriters plenty of material over the next few weeks. We'll have to wait and see.

I have no idea whether Simon Gregson's acting was good or not - I can't recall the last time I saw someone trying to act depressed and have no guideline as to how it can be done. Thankfully it's now out in the open.

While we're on the subject of acting ability, what's happened to Barbara Knox? It wasn't that many years ago she was winning awards for the "Alan Bradley" storyline - now she delivers her lines like an oak tree. Perhaps a mixture of age, and getting one of the highest salaries in soap history without having to do much?

It's left me with a lot of questions:
  • Will he and Michelle get back together?
  • Should he have been driving - Does he have the right licence?
  • Was it insured - Has any insurances lapsed due to his daft spending?
  • Will we hear anything about the car - it was pretty distinctive so should be able to be traced
  • What will Steve be charged with - You can see it coming
  • How angry will Ches' be with Steve
  • How will things play out between Tracy and Carla
  • Why couldn't Sally have sustained, at least, a broken jaw to stop her speaking ever again?

Well yes, that's a valid point, she's really been getting on my t**s recently...

These comments have made me wonder when the character first started showing signs of this ridiculous "aspiration". She's been a sort of inverted snob for some years now, but when she first joined Corrie as Kevin's girlfriend she was a fairly timid ordinary working-class girl.

She now seems to think she should be living in Alderley Edge. I remember her pushing Kevin into dreams about a chain of garages under a Webster Auto Centre franchise, but that was some time ago. Can anybody think of an occasion when she would have changed character, and become this social climber? (You're not going to climb very far with Tim as your partner!)
