The whole beatification of Tina is getting on my tits, especially her flatmates' overacting - she'd only moved in five minutes ago.

See that Gary is getting his in the nightclub, I've heard the young lady is linked to a current Street character though, so will come back to haunt him...

I agree about the "reaction to Tina's death" business. It's getting annoying.

Gary is a gingga tw*t. (Sorry to be PCincorrect). Very annoying character, and BTW the Windass family have sort of been rewritten in Corrie history. They came into the street as dodgy flyboy types, the sort who knew benefit forms inside-out. They now appear to be just like everyone else. Has the influence of Emily and her Christian values been that great?

Have I missed something? Last night Eva was looking for a job, and Sally was made PA. When did Eva lose her job? Was I making a cup of tea?

Personally. I couldn't stand Tina, (the character), although she did have a rough time when her dad died, after falling off the boat in the lake district.......frown

btw:- Considering her dad Joe (a kitchen fitter) did the wall tiling in Gail's kitchen it is pathetic, a two year old could have done a better job, and as for the grouting............have a look next time......biggrin

Meanwhile, things seem to be back on track at the knicker factory...until the next crisis......

Agree with you about the grouting - it annoys me every time I see it.

So we're expected to believe Gary and Kal are really close friends and served in the army together just a few years ago yet at no point did Kal ever say "and here's a photo of my daughter"? Really? Another contrived Corrie plot.

I guess Facebook doesn't exist in the world of Corrie either?

Some cracking one liners tonight.

Michelle: Steve, where is all this come from?
Steve: I had a meatball lattice earlier.

Michelle: Most blokes would swap places with you tomorrow.
Steve: What are they waiting for, I'm ready to go now.

Eva: Was that Winston Churchill too?
Steve: Err...M People.

Just superb.

It'd be better as the Steve and Lloyd Show

The "CD gift" exchange between them, just brilliant. Hats off to the writers.

Hi Coronation Street fans. Don't quite get the supposed age difference between Kal, Gary and Kals's daughter. Hints are there that she's here to stay - textile/fashion degree = working for Carla at some point I reckon.

That Northern Soul compilation CD (case) that Lloyd gave Steve is pretty good actually - but then Craig Charles has got excellent taste in music.

She's a very pretty girl, I m guessing the writers feel they need to find a new "babe" to replace Tina as soon as they can.

Yes, another couple of decent episodes last night, Gary was very lucky to get out of that one, Izzy would have had his guts for garters....yikes

Had to laugh at Drearie's brief transatlantic phone call to "Ken" in Canada. Surely he is due to return to the set soon, breeze in as if nothing had happened....

I remember when Len Fairclough got "killed" in a car crash on the way to his "lover" near The East Lancs Road...it went a little like this:-

Everyone drinking normally in the Rovers.......Telephone on the bar rings.....

Phone get's picked up.......voice on other end (Police) says........"Len's Dead"!

Announcement to drinkers........"Just had a phone call, Len's been killed"

Stunned silence for 20 seconds......

"Pint please Bet"...............biggrin

  • Exclusive* You heard it here first....In a couple of months a storyline will feature a Rovers cricket match....I cannot say any more........

Maybe take over from Rob when he goes inside? Didn't know Underworld had a grad scheme though!

The Kal-Kal's 21 year old daughter age difference caused some comments on our sofa last night too.

I was hoping that Lloyd would give Steve a copy of the Craig Charles Funk and Soul CD - that would've been ace.

Whilst we're discussing Kal - he's supposed to be this fitness fanatic/personal trainer etc, but did you see him when he did the stint as a topless waiter in The bistro?

Definite man-boobs plus a waistline hinting at a love for kebabs. Poor scripting by Corrie - he really shouldn't have done that skit.

Rat-Boy - " what was my mum like at school?"

Les Dennis - "she was very well liked"

Rat-Boy - "no, seriously, what was she like?"

Anyone notice the blooper in tonight's episode in the Rovers?

Michelle was talking to Steve in the bar and called him Simon.

(Simon Gregson) is his real name..........

Something's that's always puzzled me is the layout of The Rovers.

If you look at it from the outside the front doors join right up to the party wall with Ken and Deidres, however inside there are doors to the toilets on that wall. Are people going to the toilet in the Barlows kitchen?

Well they seem to have thought of that when they designed the new set at Salford Quays...

Still not a great deal of space for the ladies and gents. That looks about 3ft wide!

You know there's not really a Rovers Return behind that frontage...don't you?

The best bit of frontage in The Rovers is Eva's........
