Well I rushed home from a long day at work eager to relax, crack open a bottle and watch a couple of episodes only to find the bloody football on all night. I HATE it when they do that, why not put it on another channel somewhere. When is it on next, are they going to make up for the two missing episodes?
Yes. Sunday night at 8pm for one whole hour. I didn't mind - Harry Kane vindicating the public clamour after 78 seconds was good enough for me.

And don't forget to turn the clocks forward an hour or you'll miss that.....hehe

Thank god for modern technology, sky + etc, I don't know how people managed in the olden days.

I remember when we first got a VHS recorder in the mid seventies, we went on holiday for a few days, and when we got back I found out Mrs WR had set it to record BBC instead of "The Street" on ITV by mistake.

We didn't speak for a week. biggrin

Anyhow, on to more important matters.....

What's going to happen to Bethany?...I bet Audrey takes her in, although I understand Sarah Lou is due to return..stand by for fireworks...yikes

Congratulations to Steve @ Michelle, seems Tony is going to bail him out, but as always they'll be strings attached no doubt.

Oh I don't know. I think Simon Gregson and Kym Marsh are pretty good actors. The strings are attached to the Nazir family. The Pinnochios of soap acting.

I'm just waiting for the cry "I'm a real boy!".

Seems an irritating character so far but I did like her observation of Weatherfield/Manchester - "it's like a Lowry painting with fat people"

Am I right in thinking Todd Grimshaw is Bethany's father?

Bethany Britney Platt is the daughter of Sarah Grimshaw and Neil Fearns. She was born in 2000 to a pregnant thirteen-year-old Sarah, who had a relationship with schoolboy Neil.

Sarah-Louise Grimshaw (née Tilsley, previously Platt) is the daughter of Gail and Brian Tilsley and sister of Nick and half sister of David.

Sarah was born in 1987. Her birth reunited Gail and Brian after their divorce but it was Gail and Martin Platt who raised her as Brian died when Sarah was two after being stabbed by a group of thugs. At thirteen, Sarah had a baby daughter, Bethany, and raised her with her family's support (Neil Fearns, Beth's father, stayed away). After leaving school Sarah got a job at Roy's Rolls and moved in with Todd Grimshaw. Todd rushed Sarah into getting engaged and having a baby but before the birth he confessed to an affair with Karl Foster and that he was gay. Sarah gave birth prematurely but baby Billy lived for only three days.

Sarah's next love was Jason Grimshaw. They got married on the second attempt (Jason did a runner from the church on their first wedding day) but after two months they split up as when Sarah got a good job in Milan and moved there with Bethany, Jason stayed in Weatherfield. Their divorce was finalised in 2010.

Nothing really to add to this thread as I don't watch Coronation St, but isn't Gail looking well these days.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. I reckon Tina O'Brien has aged well. Still good TV totty.

Jason - "Roberto? Is that Italian for Robert?"

Craig is becoming an interesting character. I hadn't expected that, I thought he would always be a peripheral personality in the Street, but he's got some good mannerisms and quirks.
