The most unrealistic fire scene since the opening sequence of Tales of the Unexpected
I think all "staged" fires are weak - it's a case of hidden gas pipes being lit I suppose, so you end up with just a scattering of tall flames, rather than one inferno.(PS did I miss something by watching the ITVPlayer version, or have I missed some kind of in-joke? There were no firemen in the one I watched.)

Oh FFS grow up..some characters on the Street are gay . Just like real life then . Get over it- it isn't 1974 any more.
Yes but the gay people I know aren't irritatingly camp! They are just normal people! Anthony Cotton's character has always annoyed me with the way he camps everything up...Triumph Man said:

Yes, John Inman did the same in "Are you being served", but that didn't grate on me to the same degree, in fact I thought it was funny, even if you knew what the next line was going to be before he said it....
That was a superb "Glasgow kiss" that Maddie gave Jenny. Odd there was no blood.
I've been pretty vociferous in my complaints about tabloid trailers concerning future events, but they kept quiet on that one. I knew some characters were being culled, but Kal hadn't been mentioned. No skin off my nose - he was a weak character part, and his acting wasn't the best. This will give his son some ammunition in the anti-Leanne stakes.
Weird fire. You could almost see the gas lines running along the walls of the lower apartments. Thankfully I've never been involved in a major house fire. I'm not an arsonist and I was born just after Samuel Pepys had given us his thoughts on "the big one". But early on in the event the smoke had made Carla and Amy unable to breathe, yet when the flames had grown, Kal and Leanne were able to stand and talk without difficulty. Is this usual?
Jenny got away with it for now. But wait till Maddie gathers her senses!
Meanwhile - where the duck is Tony?

Keeping out of Liz's way I expect......Is Becky coming back for a cameo or not? I thought she was going to reappear to sort out Kylie's head. Looking forward to that.

Jim apparently had his sentence extended after his last "fun and games"

One of them is back already - weren't you paying attention (I can't remember which is which though, LOL).Jim apparently had his sentence extended after his last "fun and games"
I have watched Coronation Street for nearly 40 years, and this has to be the WORST acting/ storyline I have ever seen. I found myself criticising nearly every scene: e.g
Tracey just blurting out to Liz about her affair with Tony.
How the hell did Tracey know EXACTLY where that candle and matches where, considering the flat was in darkness when she entered?
How did Tim manage to snap the chains on the gates to the builders yard?
Tracey and Liz totally calm, knowing Amy was inside the flat.
Just before the end of one episode, Cal, Amy and Leanne just standing at the doorway to the flat instead of getting the hell out of there. It looked as though they were waiting for the theme tune to start.
I could go on, but I'm sure there are many on here who agree.
