The more Michael finds out about the Gavin/Andy saga, the more I feel sorry for his character. I know Gail was worried about his heart, but the lengths she and her family went to, to mislead him, were beyond belief.

Now she tells him she went to Gavin's funeral! It almost beggars belief. Oh, sorry, forgot it's a soap.

Dev looks distinctly unhappy, and I fear uncomfortable news for Julie in the near future.

I heard that he's leaving - Part of a character cull...

That's a new one to me. I didn't expect Kal and Maddie, and it's common knowledge that C.... and L.... are leaving, and presumably Jenny will be forced out by the scriptwriters once her shenanigans are revealed. What with Anne Kirkbride's sad death, the street is in for a real shake-up. And then there's Tony, who presumably can't come back, unless he wants a painful demise.

Blimey!

My first thoughts when it was revealed that Craig was falling asleep at school was a "diabetes type 2" storyline. We'll have to wait and see.

Has anyone figured out how they broke the heavy duty chain to get into the yard yet?

Harry Houdini would have been proud..

Has Emily Bishop got the cushiest job on TV?, she come into the studio and records a couple of lines a month.

Nice work if you can get it.....smile

The garage guys went and got some tools (a bolt cutter as it happened!) to break into the flats, but then Carla gasped the entry code.

They then used the cutter on the chain to the yard gates instead.

Just catching up. This whole fire scenario is ridiculous.

This is a modern multi-storey block of flats. The smoke alarm would be linked into a central fire alarm panel, and I'm guessing with a direct link to the fire brigade.

Quite.

Problem is, that wouldn't make a good storyline.

In soapland, working-class people in humdrum jobs can still afford to go to the pub every night, and have lunch in a fancy bistro. Football is barely talked about, and last night's TV is virtually never discussed. Cast members change cars without discussing it with their mates, and don't cook meals at all as far as I can see.

I love it.

Don't forget they never discuss their personal lives and problems at home in private, they always go to the pub/cafe to do it in public.

Exactly how big is Eileen's house? There is currently Todd, Jason, Michael, her and Shaun living there! Her new boyfriend stays over and does the vicar stay too?
Todd's evilness knows no bounds does it?!

Edit: It's now less of a problem.....

Two rather excellent episodes. I don't think Todd can be added to the list of those leaving the soap - he'll be back.

I enjoyed the banter between Beth and Kirk, but cringed at the role play scenario. That's what eating fishpaste sandwiches can do to you.

Good work by the production crew to let us all see a bit of a Muslim funeral. It's important IMO for a multicultural society to have an insight into how we all operate.

Best bit for me? Jason at the bar with Sean and saying to Steph "I wouldn't mind, but we're supposed to be on a date". With a straight face.......

Beth: I've always tried to Craigie on the right track, but I'm worried he's going off piste.
Kirk: You think he's been drinking!
