Kirk - "I like the bus stop." End of sentence. Bless - he's one of the best things ever to happen to Corrie.
Michael staggered into the Bistro barely able to stand, with the bottle of Scotch about 2/3rds full. What a lightweight!
Is this Gail's shortest-ever marriage?
BTW there are always "real" reasons for cast absence - Eva and Kylie both having sprogs for instance. But what about Jenny McAlpine? Anyone know what's happened to the actress in her "real" life?

She went for a sprog too... can't remember what her Corrie excuse was though (who she was visiting/looking after etc)Michael staggered into the Bistro barely able to stand, with the bottle of Scotch about 2/3rds full. What a lightweight!

My God but last night's episodes were dire ; terrible script and mainly bad acting (has Dev forgotten how to ?) . But redeemed, as ever, by strong character parts - Julie, Crazy Mary and I do like the odd couple thing signposted between Brian and Ken. But Kevin? Wooden and dull, if not quite as bad amdram as Sarah Platt ...

Mary really is fantastic - Clearly bat st crazy...What happened to her motorhome - did she get it back?
Mary is simply one of the best-ever additions to the Corrie cast. "My crescent moon is the talk of the community centre" - is that a euphemism for a camel toe?
Presumably Jenny will be leaving the Street, but Sally Ann Matthews is a far better actress than many on the show. BTW that Hungry Caterpillar cake at the birthday party has got me wanting sugar - now.
PS Julie "My collection of novelty buttons caused quite a stir". Is it me, have I got a warped mind, or is Corrie increasing the number of phrases which can be taken in all sorts of ways?
PPS "She once got mistaken for Margaret Thatcher in Spud-U-Like". I mean , come on, what other soap, anywhere in the world, gives you stuff like that? And the observation that people fart whilst doing yoga.
Dear God, another one -"Mary Poppins is my favourite film, that and 9and-a-half Weeks." Who writes this stuff???
I'm rather concerned about Bethany in her school uniform and pigtails. It'll attract the wrong sort of viewer if they don't watch out. Not my sort of thing, but maybe Eva in a French Maids' outfit..........(That makes ME the wrong sort of viewer.)
Sorry for the rambling, but I'm typing this as I watch it.
