Kirk - "I like the bus stop." End of sentence. Bless - he's one of the best things ever to happen to Corrie.

Michael staggered into the Bistro barely able to stand, with the bottle of Scotch about 2/3rds full. What a lightweight!

Is this Gail's shortest-ever marriage?

BTW there are always "real" reasons for cast absence - Eva and Kylie both having sprogs for instance. But what about Jenny McAlpine? Anyone know what's happened to the actress in her "real" life?

She went for a sprog too... can't remember what her Corrie excuse was though (who she was visiting/looking after etc)

I'm warming to Les Dennis. His lack of acting ability is compensated for by his comic timing.
Michael: I've been to see Susan.
Gail: What, Susan as in mother of Gavin Susan?
Michael: No, no, Susan Sarandon.

It was akin to a "Carry On" film last night, with constant references to having a try of my Hob Hole. Tickled me pink. And now Tracy is p***ed off with Tony, having found out Liz got flowers, but not herself. He's going to have to fight from 2 sides when/if he returns.

That was PC Dave Quinnan, minus hair, plus a beard and a few years!

"That's a serious piece of nozzle control". Oh er matron!

Well done Corrie - Craig as the clandestine artist, didn't see that one coming. Brian's return, didn't see that one coming.

Some interesting storylines coming up to keep things moving along.....smile

Why doesn't Dev just put Julie out of her misery?

I thought young Jack was going to go over the balcony for a minute there.......yikes

They can't kill 2 characters that fast - and not a child... Well, not yet anyway.

I did wonder if Kevin would forgive her and I did, genuinely, wonder if, in true soap style, that Kevin would forgive her and NOT call the police...

My God but last night's episodes were dire ; terrible script and mainly bad acting (has Dev forgotten how to ?) . But redeemed, as ever, by strong character parts - Julie, Crazy Mary and I do like the odd couple thing signposted between Brian and Ken. But Kevin? Wooden and dull, if not quite as bad amdram as Sarah Platt ...

I did like it when she referred to Dev's new "friend" as a double jointed vegetable botherer! hehe

Mary is simply one of the best-ever additions to the Corrie cast. "My crescent moon is the talk of the community centre" - is that a euphemism for a camel toe? laugh

Presumably Jenny will be leaving the Street, but Sally Ann Matthews is a far better actress than many on the show. BTW that Hungry Caterpillar cake at the birthday party has got me wanting sugar - now.

PS Julie "My collection of novelty buttons caused quite a stir". Is it me, have I got a warped mind, or is Corrie increasing the number of phrases which can be taken in all sorts of ways?

PPS "She once got mistaken for Margaret Thatcher in Spud-U-Like". I mean , come on, what other soap, anywhere in the world, gives you stuff like that? And the observation that people fart whilst doing yoga.

Dear God, another one -"Mary Poppins is my favourite film, that and 9and-a-half Weeks." Who writes this stuff???

I'm rather concerned about Bethany in her school uniform and pigtails. It'll attract the wrong sort of viewer if they don't watch out. Not my sort of thing, but maybe Eva in a French Maids' outfit..........(That makes ME the wrong sort of viewer.)

Sorry for the rambling, but I'm typing this as I watch it.

According to an article I read, she has hung up her acting boobs permanently to raise a family, married to a postie
