Mutton dressed as lamb. Tell them Granny Liz gave you that one
I'm interested to see what scheme Tracy's concocted. I assume that she's found someone who's prepared to call themself Julie Carp in order to satisfy the name on the cruise ticket.Mutton dressed as lamb. Tell them Granny Liz gave you that one
Nick/Carla - will they, won't they?

Wow how crap is Corry?
I know where you're coming from, even if that's heresy to Wacky Racer. Some clumsy script and directing. Could have been better considering the situations and storylines. The "fight" was pure cheesy soap. And nobody (in true soap fashion) seems able to compromise.
I liked Kirk's dealer's eyeshade. Very apt with Wimbledon just started.
It's because Corrie's so crap it's so good, if that makes sense.
It's never pretended to be Shakespeare, just a bit of light entertainment to have a laugh about.
It wouldn't really take a lot to turn it into a half hour situation comedy....(So it wouldn't)
Brian really is a bundling fool isn't he?

I wouldn't use the word crap - more like "different". It's like no other soap on the box, and devotees will take no criticism. I acknowledge that some weeks are better than others in the writing/acting/production stakes, but it never fails to entertain. It's never pretended to be Shakespeare, just a bit of light entertainment to have a laugh about.

The street "shoot-out" was cringeworthy, mainly because it was a parody of a western, rather than a tongue-in-cheek reference. But I still chuckled - the stares, the drawn-out suspense, hands down by imaginary holsters. You don't get that in Home and Away.
I sense that Brian's persistence will prevail.

I've just realised that no women (I don't think) post on this thread, anyhow....
Anyone remember this chap:
?
Ar Ashley's sidekick in the Butchers after Fred left IIRC.
He's just been ejected from Celeb Masterchef where it took me a while to place him tbh. I think he fitted in well on Corry and it was a shame he left to pursue different roles, but he was mismatched with Tina. Sinead would have been good with ar Ashley.
Julie wasn't for Dev, better with Brian (or even more suited with Ed Miliband).
Liz's new bloke is no good, but she's on the rebound and cock happy.
Lloyd goes well with his lady, Steve is batting way out of his league, Monkey face Nick doesn't look comfortable with his aging blonde, she must be 20yrs his senior and not aging well.
It was interesting to hear Deidre mentioned on there recently, although I read her demise will be announced next week....
Anyhow, a pic of Sophie to finish off:
