Just Bethany's cute derriere in a very tight pair of jeans.

Mary was excellent last night. Nuttier than a coconut grove. Can you imagine her as an official wedding planner? It'd be worse than those idiots on "Don't tell the bride" and their cockamamie ideas.

So Steve's wee chum has gone back to its owners. Ahhhh......

Why has it taken so long? The owners were traced quite quickly, and several weeks ago, so if they loved their dog so much, why has it taken till now for the rehoming? And what's the betting that it doesn't find its way back to the Rovers?

Yes, Steve's Doggy story was a bit daft wasn't it?

Anybody else think Sy and Amy need a good slap? biggrin

How Barlow's buys keeps going is beyond me...

A) It's hardly ever open, and when it is, the staff are usually enjoying afternoon delight in the back.

B) The shelves are normally threadbare, with what stock they have a load of junk, Atari games from 1983 for example.

Send Mary Portas in to kick some ass....teacher

(Speaking of ass, where's Bethany?)

Nice to see "Rover" back on the team - a better actor than some of the cast. Very amusing when Steve kept sniffing her old cushion.

So when are the producers going to reveal what's wrong with Simon? I don't think this is just a case of teenage syndrome, they're clearly building up to something more extreme. Some sort of bi-polar illness? And when are they going to let us in on why he looks nothing like his screen mum and dad?

The Exorcist springs to mind.

His mum was Lucy the florist, blonde. Dad is Peter, who is dark, so it's possible that they could have had a dark haired kid.

true but his nose and hair are telling me there should be a black person somewhere in his recent lineage.

That clio had to be a couple £k impressed Maria could afford that. I'm guessing that maria is going to end up being hospitalised by it to write her out while she drops her sprog

The Clio that also overheated about 3 seconds after he started driving it?
It was a complete shed.

It looked like there were bubbles of rust all around the window frame underneath the paint.

Exactly my point, but I felt a bit awkward about the race issue. Thanks for helping me out!

I think Simons ethnicity is a problem for the producers as his bloodline wasn't so evident when he was younger.
I guess it will be ignored just like Carla's recovery from gambling, izzys amazing flat getting into wheelchair, the bedrooms in Kens house, The garage sustaining 3 mechs with one ramp etc etc

Soap spatial calculations are a wonder of their own. Every home is like a Tardis. Ken supposedly has a front room, but I can't recall seeing it - isn't that where Blanche slept? Eileen's house has a seemingly never-ending series of bedrooms on the top floor, but only one sitting room below. And I've never worked out how Roy's cafe can have a living-room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom over the eating area. Maybe he's got a flying freehold (now there's something you didn't expect to see on this thread on a Sunday morning!).

Strange how both the Rovers & Dev's corner shop seem to have increased in size by around 200% since the very first episode in 1960.

Just look at the size of Florrie Lindley's shop back then, compared to Dev's Spar sized mini market..

I may have mentioned this before, but one of those two young girls in the opening scene bouncing the ball was Lynn Belcher, (Later Lynn Paul), singer in The New Seekers...

Regarding "Sy", yes, very strange, perhaps he was a result of one of Peter Barlow's sordid affairs when he got his periscope out when his submarine pulled into port for supplies in some far flung corner of the globe....scratchchin
