The whole scenario of Jason in Callum's mate's flat reminded me of one of the old Brian Rix farces - hiding in wardrobes, and behind doors, and nobody else noticing. For a start, if Jason used a jemmy to break into the flat, how come Callum 'n the hoods didn't notice when they entered? How did Jason move from the wardrobe to the door in that time? What happened to his tool box? Will we ever know? In a Brian Rix farce, he would have had no trousers on, and there would have been a woman wandering around in a transparent negligee - where's Eva when you need her?
With this being a 1-hour special, I thought something really important was going to happen - I've seen the trailers. Presumably it all comes to a head this week.
Lloyd has a quandary and then some. No wonder he's leaving.
Plenty of drama programmes have used Downs Syndrome actors in the past, and why not? They exist in real life, and we've all come across such people in our own lives. Nothing wrong with his performance, good luck to the bloke. Meanwhile...... will Anna tell Roy how Cathy feels?

Down boy....Yes the "Jason" scene was a bit farcical, in a Brian Rix kind of way.
Regarding the introduction of the downs actor, fair play to the Street, the only issue I have is he just seems to have appeared from nowhere, I might be wrong but I don't think he has ever been mentioned previously. I went out to make a cup of tea and when I returned..... there he was. I hope he enjoys his time in the role.
Good to see Callum getting a taste of his own medicine, he had better get hold of that remaining 18k pretty sharpish or else Dick Dastardly and Mutley will be paying him another visit....

The debt is still 20K ... the 2K was taken as interest dueThe whole Liz/Lloyd/Andrea triangle would, in real life, be a mess, and quite possibly tragic. But Corrie, as so often, dealt with it brilliantly. It was their style of humour which saved the day. The denouement in the Rovers' private lounge was just hilarious, with Lloyd and Steve reeling off the list of those who knew, until Lloyd gave Steve the "slit throat" gesture to cut it short.
Well played Corrie. I'm guessing the "job in Jersey" is the opt-out for Craig Charles, so Hayley Tamaddon must be leaving as well.
Meanwhile - the Platt family are talking about how they can get rid of Callum, but the answer's right there beneath their feet. The manhole under the garage. Am I being sensationalist, or is this the next big plot?

I also wonder about soaps - someone is being threatened and blackmailed by someone like this, yet no one thinks "I know, I'll record this conversation on my phone and take these grievous threats to the police".
I know it would spoil the whole storyline and the like, but surely this would come up in conversation?

I might be wrong, but I don't think a taped conversation can be used in evidence....I know it would spoil the whole storyline and the like, but surely this would come up in conversation?

She's kept her place in the soap because she's easy on the eye. I agree that her acting is not the best on the show, but it's better than the cardboard extras.
She used to be easy on the eye, not so much these days. Plus her moaning voice is annoying to say the least.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
