As Coppice said in a previous post, Sarah's acting is getting better. She was pretty good in Friday's episodes.
When David said he needed some family time, aka a bunk-up, it reminded me of Eric Morecambe when he called "Two-Way Family Favourites" have your family the favourite way........
I have bored you all before with my fondness for the Steve/Lloyd friendship, but it really was one of the best things about Corrie. Their last day together was a gem - as Michelle remarked "they're probably behaving like a couple of 10-year olds".The staring competition, enthusing about boys' days out with JCBs and heavy plant cranes, and the seaside donkey race when Lloyd had hidden sugar lumps - "a banned substance". Michelle hit it on the head "they really do love each other".
BTW I thought Steve's absence from the leaving party with a hangover was the writers' excuse because he was having a break from the show, but then he turns up again. Did I miss something?
I assume he's on leave now so not at the live show, but the other episodes have already been filmed and edited....When David said he needed some family time, aka a bunk-up, it reminded me of Eric Morecambe when he called "Two-Way Family Favourites" have your family the favourite way........

Que?
Am I missing something?
David said something along those lines when the plan was to weigh him down in the canal. Which would have been a terrible idea as he wouldn't have remained sunk forever, if anything it is better that they know where he is.Am I missing something?
Not a good idea (imo) as most canals are only about a metre deep, (or three foot in old money)....I know from experience as I have fallen into them twice on my bike.......

Yes, I asked Mrs WR this afternoon, and she figured it would be something to do with canals.

I am sure that has nothing to do with there being pubs on towpaths. Not a good idea (imo) as most canals are only about a metre deep, (or three foot in old money)....I know from experience as I have fallen into them twice on my bike.......
They do also get dredged pretty often, otherwise the boats would be constantly scraping along a pile of mopeds shopping trolleys and drug dealers.
I remember seeing a lock get dredged a while ago and there was a lot of crap down there, and this was by a country pub, not the centre of Manchester.
I suspect that the writers are building up to something with Sarah as the weak link in the gang's story. She'd certainly crack under expert interrogation. Exciting times......by soap standards.
Any builders out there? Jason and Tony must be the fastest construction workers in the country. One day it's a garage, a couple of days later and it's got a plastered inner stud wall, all electics fitted, new screeded floor, new(?) double-glazed window. Don't forget Jason's carrying injured ribs, and Gary is an unskilled labourer.
Where would I be without my daily pedantry?

Doesn't sound like a massive amount of work, 3 guys could be working 12 hour shifts. I'd assume they would have a sparky to come in to do the electrics. Could easily put in 110+ man hours in say 3 days, we didn't actually see the garage before hand Any builders out there? Jason and Tony must be the fastest construction workers in the country. Good point about the garage pre-work. Have we ever seen inside it (?), apart from when Gail bought David an old Fiesta to keep him from getting into trouble as a teenager. I'd assumed it was a bare shell.
Knowing as we all do, how soaps "set up" potential storylines, the look Sophie gave when she saw her dad talking to Anna must mean something. Well I have to say I didn't see that one coming, far from it. I thought Tim was going to get off with her, and maybe Kev go back to Sally.
We'll have to wait and see of course, but the director who instructed Sophie to give that glance must have had a reason. Oh err.....
I understand that the new Connor girl is lesbian. Although she is engaged, will this be a new unrequited love for Sophie?

Let's be honest, I think Sophie is about due some better luck in love...We'll have to wait and see of course, but the director who instructed Sophie to give that glance must have had a reason. Oh err.....

Genuinely laughed out when Tim dropped Sally like a sack of spuds. Excellent Corrie comedy moment!

Apparently Ryan Thomas is quitting - another long-term cast member. Now we know Idris Elba isn't going to be the next Bond, has "our Jase" got big ideas?
I bet his "mam" will be upset.......(I also see that Alison King is only going on a 12-month break. Thank you God!)
