Nice globe drinks cabinet. Is that Albert Tatlock?
Don't think so, looks a bit like Arthur Lowe to me?
I think it is Uncle Albert, but it doesn't really look like him in that particular picture.

So now, with the exception of Kevin, Dev, Tracy and the Nazirs, all the business owners on the street live in flats or above the shop. Is Wetherfield really that expensive an area that two business owners are fighting over a flat over a cab office? There seems to be an effect that is opposite to Friends where everyone seems to live in houses which a well within their means. I mean most of the houses are so ridiculously crowded the characters must spend most of their lives queueing for the bathroom.

Hahaha, it seemingly runs itself, well there are only two people there anyhow, Eileen and her bloke.

I've been watching Corrie for nearly 50 yrs, but I've never been closer to giving it up. The odd good moment from Mary, but that aside, I'm finding it hard to care about the characters. I'm not even bothered about Hope's outcome.

I understand how you feel, but Corrie's been through bad times before, and it'll come out OK in the long run. I could never give up.

Clearly the Christmas Day Special will have Hope's demise included, for family tearjerking purposes, but I have a hunch that the episode will end with a sudden arrest for murder. The dumb Callum plot had got to be resolved somehow.

I'm still waiting to see how they're going to write out Carla for 12 months. She seems perfectly happy at the moment, although it's odd how here gambling addiction just ceased without any counselling.

Did not realise it was a sabbatical, I thought she was going for good.

She was an alcoholic aswell and that seems to have been fixed too.

The mythical Fat Brenda. In one way I'd like to see her, and in another way I know that the myth would be spoilt. I dread to think how big she is - Eileen ain't no Twiggy.

Hope won't die. Child death is Eastenders territory, not Corrie.

yikes

Wash your mouth out.

The enjoyment goes in cycles, we can't really have murders and trains through the viaduct every month or two, otherwise people would think it wasn't real life.

Not to mention Nick's brain damage. Suddenly he no longer has mood swings - must be very effective pills.

Great lines from Kirk tonight - "I've only ever had frozen Chicken Kievs, I didn't know you could get other sorts", and "I don't know how a windmill works".

I'll give Todd his dues, normally his idea of a prank is a pretty nasty bit of malice, but the trick with the Rubiks Cube was a good 'un.
