Crikey, Rob's back in it. Wasn't expecting that - what's this all going to be about?

Rob clearly has a plan which involves "using" Tracy as a go-between. I wonder if he's going to foment trouble between Johnny and Carla?

Todd clearly has mystic powers. Within 30 seconds of sitting on a bench next to Sarah, he's managed to guess she's pregnant.

I love Eva's new habit of laughing at her own jokes. I don't know if that's scripted or if the actress has just added it in, but it's brilliant.

Her laugh is one of those things that are funny if seen on TV, but you really, really couldn't live with it, however great are her other attractions. I suppose you could always use a gag.

Spotted something similar to the classic movie thunder/lightning error (both occurring at the same time).

David Platt walks into lounge, grabs TV remote and the instant he presses a button the 'TV' comes on (you never see the TV, just some light & sound which is supposed to be the programme).
When was the last time your TV came on instantly?

Todd noticed Sarah bend down in pain and hold her stomach in the Rovers in a previous scene and thought to himself "Hello hello, hello... what's going on here then?"

Eva's new laugh is really comical.....biggrin

Amy is brilliant - she's really Tracy's Mini-Me.

Her true role model - I think anyway - is the divine Lilith in Frasier .

Well now we know why Rob wanted to speak to Johnny. TBH I'm lost by the whole Connor family set-up, I thought Carla was only a Connor by marriage, but they all seem very "close" and involved in some way or other.

Has Ken realised that Nessa is high maintenance? I'm not just talking about monetary needs, but just her general neediness. Loved Amy's observation!

Sorry I missed the Rob bit tonight, what is the story there? I saw him mentioning money and he's what, making out Johnny might be his Dad? Where does the money come in, to shut him up?

I think Ken is realising she is a PITA in comparison to Deirdre....

I thought £2.50 was rather expensive for a quarter of lemon 'travel sweets' in The Kabin.

The weird twin ladies in the salon were gold dust. As ever , Friday scripts and direction are always far better than the meat and two veg of mon and wed.And framing of the shot of the red suspender belt wearing mannikin above Carla' s head was genius.

Have to say I think "Nessa" has been a breath of fresh air to Corrie, she has really stirred things up....

They need to get rid of a lot of deadwood though, Emily, Maria, even Kirk's getting boring playing the village idiot.

I worry that too many of the regulars are leaving - Emily will be going, Carla is leaving for 12 months, Jason is leaving (?), Lloyd has left, Steve is on a break, presumably Maria is off having a sprog (tending to a sick mum), Callum can't come back, sadly the splendid Deirdre is no longer with us, and I believe the Nazir family are being written out.

Dead wood or not, I hope the production crew find some decent replacements who understand the ethos of the show.

I tend to think of Lilith as primarily a Cheers character - she's rarely seen at all in Frasier.

I don't know how true it is but i heard a rumour that a few characters from the past may return to the street - Kieran (Keith Duffy from Boyzone) and Leanne's half-sister Toyah Battersby have been mentioned.

Kieran would be a welcome addition (imo) I liked his Oirish charm...biggrin

Toyah, I'm not so sure, she was a bit bland, and her "rape" storyline seemed to drag on forever, but I appreciate that wasn't her fault, it was the scriptwriters at the time.

Ted Robbins has been quite good so far, a very talented all round entertainer, he was the main speaker at my son's award night around ten years ago and he kept the audience spellbound for nearly half an hour.

He recounted the tale of when he was down on his luck and work was drying up he, purely by chance bumped into Peter Kay on a railway coach and Kay happened to mention he was thinking of making a show called Phoenix nights.......

The basic message to the kids was never ever give up. Lovely man.
