The official PH Coronation Street thread
Discussion
I was just about to post the same sentiment - high drama indeed, in true soap style.
Observations - 1) Cathy called out weakly in her time of need, yet Roy could clearly hear her out in the street. 2) The pub Brendan selected for his courtship of Mary looked like a downmarket 'Spoons, if that's possible, 3) How come everyone was so surprised when Craig was asked to redo Maddie's memorial - didn't he do the original?
For some reason, I've always understood that Mary was still "intact" if you see what I mean. Brendan could be in for a surprise.

4) a match which appeared to go out when dropped in a waste paper bin with a few papers in it suddenly exploded into an inferno! Cathy wafting the flames with an old sheet really helped too!!Observations - 1) Cathy called out weakly in her time of need, yet Roy could clearly hear her out in the street. 2) The pub Brendan selected for his courtship of Mary looked like a downmarket 'Spoons, if that's possible, 3) How come everyone was so surprised when Craig was asked to redo Maddie's memorial - didn't he do the original?

Next time I can't get the log burner started I will call for Cathy to help.

Mary had a lot of euphemisms last night, openings, doors, new woman etc - obviously to convey her intactus being violated in corry style.
Kev alluded to his new garage as well - hopefully we get to see it soon and ponder what of the old one ?
He'll be parking his car in a new one, soon - nudge, nudge.Kev alluded to his new garage as well - hopefully we get to see it soon and ponder what of the old one ?
There was some lovely writing last night. Tim- "I've just given Cathy's display cabinet a quick buff with me shammy".
Simon Gregson starts filming again next month.
Excellent news!

The Christmas Elf was Ted Teddington! Ernie the Milkman's mortal enemy.(Well, almost, it was 2-Ton Ted from Teddington.)
Preston's Petals it is, then. I wasn't expecting that twist. Bit of an odd name for a florist in Weatherfield, rather like a florist in (relatively) nearby Preston being called Salford Sprays.
Interflora must have paid a fair whack for the product placement. In reality, there's absolutely no chance that a back-street newly-opened shop would have got a plum franchise like that. Trust me - I work for one.

All right. No need to rub it in! .
Anyway, I thought that in Soapland all matters of income and expenditure were never addressed. In reality, how the hell would people in Albert Square afford the rents or mortgage payments, on their mundane incomes? At least in Corrie people live in affordable homes, although they seem to spend all their money on the Rovers and kebab shop.
Must settle down later and get comfy for Eva's appearance. Can't wait.

I thought he was a partner in a successful garage business too?
That always confuses me too. I always wonder why Kev is so comfortable and Ty is struggling and why Ty takes Kev barking orders at him and treating him like a bh.Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
