He's only on remand. Arrested on suspicion etc. He'll have his day in court - that's a "soap court" where everything is over and done in one day. I'm waiting for David Cameron to start a "release the Weatherfield One" campaign - when Tony Blair did that for Deirdre it must have been the nadir of proceedings in Westminster. Our country, which effectively created democracy and the modern judicial system, and once ruled (fairly benignly compared to some countries) the biggest empire the world has ever seen. And our duly elected PM stoops to those levels.

Sorry, OT rant over. Bl**dy pseudo-socialist.... mutter, mutter.

Albert's Military Medal has been mentioned many times over the years... I remember him showing it to Tracey when Drearie and Ken first got together.

What is beginning to annoy me about Corrie is that they don't research things properly.

A professional Baillif would not enter a property on the invitation of a minor... and even then, would not enter without identifying themselves BEFORE entering a property.

Shoddy research.

Corrie not doing research is par the course. Things simply do not follow any semblance of reality.

Don't even get me started on how Owen just crumbled to Phelans demands despite the fact he was the one holding all the cards (seriously, fk Gary's problem)

Builders are busier than they've been in 6yrs yet Owen can't find any work, maybe someone should tell him there is life beyond the end of the street....

He's getting a little Pob-esque, but with a beard. I preferred him when he had a pop career....

Well Owen and Anna seem to have got it together at last....I bet Owen was gagging for it.......smile

Getting really annoyed with Norris, the little turd needs firmly putting in his place, and I can see Dennis has wormed his way back into Rita's affections.

No doubt we are going to be bored stiff with the saga of the Weatherfield library closure for the next few weeks, still it gives Emily something to get her teeth into....rolleyes

I love the way Sally has turned into a right little snob the last few years, she is the perfect foil for Tim's antics...

I don't get this Feelan thing... As I recall he needed Owen to front the development because he was Bankrupt. Which means that Owen could counter blackmail / sell up the development. It annoys me.

The reason that Pat Phelan had a hold over Owen was because he claimed he had CCTV footage of Gary Windass attacking him, and leaving him for dead in the builder's yard, and threatened to go to the police with it, which almost certainly would have sent Gary down for a long stretch, has Gary had previously been inside for GBH.

Gary actually had broken into Phelan's house to try and find the CCTV tape, but when Pat found out, he told him he had been wasting his time because he had made several copies.

So - Gail's rather partial to a 99 eh?

(Having a snigger-type mind, I misunderstood that last night eek)

And when did ANY other soap have a Maestro ice-cream van make an appearance? Good old Corrie.

I guffawed slightly at Michael being chastised for where he was pointing his hose hehe

Also, do we think Nick and the waitress might get together? Thought they seemed a little closer than normal.

Ill-advised lunge by Nick by Friday's episode I reckon.

I thought the innuendo was complete with Gail saying she was partial to a bit of 'tutti frutti', but then Michael comes up with his offer of a '99'.

I hope they get some old Family Fortunes catchphrases in the script - keep waiting for 'if it's there, I'll give you the money myself'.

I hope Les Dennis has the balls to do that, rather like David Neilson (Roy Cropper) manages to insert references to Leicester City FC into his part of the script.

(OT a bit, but have they ever made a "best of the dumb answers" show based on Family Fortunes? I've been watching TV for the best part of 60 years, and I've seen all the classic gameshows - Michael Miles in Take Your Pick, Hughie Green in Double Your Money (and I really mean that, friends, I really sincerely do), but for sheer dumbness by the public, Family Fortunes takes some beating.)

That was priceless. Thanks.

Did you see the car they could have won? You think pre-show " we could win a new car" and then you see it - A Daewoo Espero aka a 20-year old Cavalier.

The odd interesting car pops up on Corrie. Hayley's Morris Minor woody, Dev's Saab covertible, Gloria's short appearance in an E Type roadster, and the obvious winner, Rosie's PGO.

That PGO was an odd choice - maybe it was owned by someone on the production team. There's loads of more mainstream cars they could have chosen - MX5 and downwards. Cappucino, Beat or something like that. Small girlie sports cars.

I see Nick is now driving a TT - very metrosexual.
