Nicks valuation of £100k isn't bad, the place is only a few years old in rented premises - must be a gold mine
Likewise what cleaning windows for six months has done to Tim's bank balance.
It'll be Sally's money - Kev gave her a large wad when he got lucky with a scratchcard.
You're just a little bit toooo good at this you do know that don't you? wink

Robert has only recent bought 20%. The remaining 80% should cost 4 times what he paid for the 20%. Unless business has gone thru the roof or fallen thru the floor in the last few weeks.

Loved Robert getting loan offers over the net for £90k but not £100k - how many people knew payday loans went so high!
Sad thing is I cant remember so many procedural liberties being taken ever before, I mean Kevs new garage no hassle at all - certificate for hazardous gasses no issue, sell a stake in the taxi company - who needs a solicitor etc etc

I was thinking - Robert could continue to take his previous salary from the business, effectively at no cost to profits, and use the annual net income to repay the loans. Surely Nick must have had an income of at least £25/30k, judging by his lifestyle? Thus the finance would be repaid in 4 years max. I reckon most banks would jump at that one - or maybe not, because they want to maximise income from interest for as long as possible, and probably would prefer the loan to be repaid over 10 years. Anyhoo, it's an established business seemingly doing OK, so I reckon that price is dirt cheap.

The barrier to entry is very low, rent a space, decorate and hire some tables - nick a Chef. In real life near my home we have a Michelin starred restaurant that wouldn't command that much (its been for sale for years)

I find myself wanting to give Sally a slap (Not really, but you know what I mean) with every episode recently. She's always been irritating but she's taking it to a new level.

idea

I think I'll ring Granada and ask if Norris wants any help with his canvassing...biggrin

Meanwhile, over at Streetcars, dim Tim must be the best boss ever, keep him supplied with a packet of biscuits, cuppa and a copy of the Weatherfield Gazette, you won't hear a peep out of him.

Good for Ken, not falling for Tracy's audacious plan to get her hands on 10k of Amy's money..clap

Is anyone hoping that when Phelan inevitably puts his plan to do over Jason into action Tony reappears to give him a good kicking?

I was really enjoying the set up of Tony being the one to finally sort out Callum but that went nowhere rather disappointingly.

It would be very satisfying to see Big Tony sort out that creep. I'm aware that I shouldn't condone violence, but sometimes the means justify the end.

I have a feeling that it's Eileen who's going to come a cropper financially.

Here's Sally's election campaign video.

What's happening re the minibus crash. Sinead was in hospital for months, her and Chesney should be moving to Alderley Edge on the compo.

I do wonder what is going to happen with the Izzy on weed storyline. Quite common for someone with a chronic pain causing condition to smoke some as it does apparently help. I just sense that something bad will happen so they never let anyone get away with something like that in soapland.

Anyone else noticed that Alya's new friend Rana, (Who has just landed the new job at the medical centre) also plays the dopy girl in Citizen Khan who is never off her mobile phone?

I'm a fan of CK and particularly notice Alia (Bhavna) but I didn't notice at all - well spotted.

It appears that all is cut and dried with the sale of the bistro, and that Carla and Nick are going to ride off into the sunset. However - we've heard no media reports of Nick leaving the series. Sorry if this is regarded as a spoiler.

So I'm expecting more fireworks in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait.

PS. I can't believe that the writers are going to continue with the Marta storyline. I hoped she had wandered off set for good. Clearly Eva will be caught in the act trying to find Marta's passport, the whole thing has telegraphed itself. Or will Billy get caught looking for it in Julia's knicker drawer, thus tainting himself as Weatherfield's perv vicar?
