The Eva storyline was really poor. Just awful.
Mary, on the other hand was awesome
Who cares!???Mary, on the other hand was awesome
That dress!!!
Presumably Underworld will now lose the contract, the O'Driscolls will want their £30k back, and Carla has spent £10k of it. All a bit messy, especially if Nick hears about it and wants some answers.
PS Alya's mate is rather nice, but I fear Zidane is being "teased". That's what we called it back in the day, and I think the initials PT are still used today. . Still, he'll have some nice dreams until he realises.
So who do we all believe then? The O'Driscoll's or the young girl?
I think the "slave" story seems a bit far fetched tbh, but O'Driscoll looks a nasty piece of work so I don't know.
Mary again was first class as she quickly dispatched Dev's new love in the Rovers.....She was a shallow bint anyway.....
She is becoming the star of the show......

I don't know anything about theatre and acting, so I don't know how characters are created. I've always assumed that the writers and directors get together with the actor/actress and go through the script explaining how they want the part played, and the thespian then proffers their version for acceptance.
Whatever happened with Patti Clare I don't know, but she clearly came up with the goods. Maybe even a bit more than what the crew actually expected. It's a peach of a chracterisation, a real show-stealer. She has a way with words, more than a dash of pathos, and a particularly ominous "dark side". Keep it coming, Mary.

Not a thesp myself but I do know a couple (one of whom is a household name (in the better class of household anyway )) and what they can do is extraordinary . I remember seeing the sublime Simon Russel Beale in a Stoppard play , and seeing the same play with a different cast a few months later . The difference was amazing - somebody like a SRB or a Rylance can make even the most turgid Shakespearean monologue sound like an intimate confession aimed not at the audience but at you personally .Whatever happened with Patti Clare I don't know, but she clearly came up with the goods. It can be deployed cynically too- I saw one well known TV actor shamefully steal every bloody scene in a production of Abigail's Party with her OTT gurning and mugging to the audience .
Mary's mum does handbrake turns in a Herald! I'd love to see the rear wheels if she tried that.
Jack Shepherd appears to have fallen into a large tub of Bisto.
Todd hasn't been "nasty Todd" for a considerable time now. Far from it. He seems to be caring and compassionate, looking out for others etc..What brought that on?

There's a guy on Radio 2 Popmaster at the moment whose claim to fame is that he was in Corry playing the guy who murdered Brian Tilsley!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WM152akOjUSo how soon do we reckon Phelan's dark side will be exposed and what will be his undoing? I think it's got to be pretty soon; he's getting too cocky.
Sally (referring to Tim's 'beliefs') : ".......Nelson Mandela and Ghandi..."
Sean: "did they have window cleaning rounds too?.."

With any luck he'll sit on one of those freshly oiled chisels, or someone will shove one in him.Edited by Escort3500 on Monday 7th March 21:03

Can the vicar get a bigger fish sticker for his car?
Trade advert. Interesting that Kylie ended up putting make-up on a stiff - Audrey used to do that for Archie Shuttleworth (Roy Hudd) when they were mates. As I suspected, Alya's mate is just a flirt/PT out to cause trouble.
.......and so it begins. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that I thought I knew what Phelan's plan was going to be, and tonight suggests that I may be right.
Didn't Eileen come into some money a few years ago, and buy the house off Steve? Phelan is after HER money, not Jason or Kevin.
