I won't spoil it for anyone, except to say in the next few episodes, Maria is involved in one of the daftest storylines the Corrie scriptwriters have ever dreamed up.
Don't worry, you're not spoiling anything. It's all over Facebook. We all know!
I don't know. Tell me??
I don't know, I don't want to know!
I don't know, I want to know!
Tough titty.

You'll have to watch like everyone else....smile

No, no spoilers on this thread, nono not fair on those want want to be kept in suspense and gripped to the edge of their seat....biggrin
That's Corrie for you - almost Hitchcockian.

(I know what the storyline is - can't say I'm all that excited, especially with the standard of acting I think we can expect.)

is it me or has it gone a bit crap recently. Dont know if the writers have been changed. Also they need to get rid of the pointless characters like Steph and Luke who seem like they belong in Hollyoaks.

Hitchcockian...lol! Well Callum was a Psycho.......

Regarding the acting, yes Maria is a bit wooden isn't she? I reckon they could get rid of her no problem, in fact I hadn't even noticed her absence the last few months....

It's a toss up as to who's more thick, her or her brother Kirk.

Another thing.

Has anyone ever seen any hair actually CUT in Audrey's salon?, I mean hair actually fall to the ground. All the stylists seem to do is spend thirty seconds running a comb through and fiddling about with the scissors....rolleyes

Maria is easy on the eye, I'll give her that. I agree with you - I'd hardly realised she was missing from the cast.

The lack of hair-cutting in the salon reminds me of actors in a scene where they're supposedly eating a meal. They rarely actually eat anything, but toy with the food with their cutlery as if deciding whether it's real or a prop. Anyone who watches The Big Bang Theory will know what I'm talking about.

It's a meal time, you're hungry, you've paid for it - FFS EAT IT!

Not to mention the blatantly empty cups. Just put water in it FFS - That really drives me mad that does....

Some of Tyrone's scrap metal looked brand new - anyone would think the Corrie props department had just gone out with the petty cash and bought whatever they could find in the local hardware shop!

Audrey - "y'know, chitty-chatty chit-chat". Wasn't that by Middle of the Road?

PS we were right - the Maria storyline was every bit as bad as we anticipated.

What about the builders' yard scenes where they load and reload the same off cut of insulation or half bag of cement for some massive building project somewhere, or have just unloaded fence panels 3ft too wide for the van.

A quite nice detail tonight, when Maria was pushed for her mates name; 'Anastasia', as Anastasia was playing in the background.

I mean really, If you were having an extension built would you employ Jason Grimshaw?....biggrin

Probably OK for cementing some fence posts in......

That got me thinking - has Jason ever obtained any qualifications? Wasn't he taught building by Charlie Stubbs or is my memory addled? He's really only a better-than-average labourer, surely? What institute memberships can he print on his letterhead estimates? Mensa? laugh

Is personal use cannabis possession really an arrestable offence? From the Police Crash Action TV shows I've seen I'm sure your first offence results in a street caution, no?
