So Nick plans a bistro next to the old one. I can't help thinking that the Planning Dept. wouldn't be too keen. It's not the High Street in any town - it's the back streets of Greater Manchester and there's already another bistro, a pub serving food, a chippy and a kebab shop in the immediate area. That's food overload, and Planning would want more diverse retail outlets. Just a thought.
Take a trip to Didsbury or Chorlton, every bloody shop is some form of pub or bar.

My memories of planning was of an era a long time ago - I'll take your word for it. I suppose any business is better than no businesses. (FWIW I'd missed Roy's cafe off my list).

Aidan planning one night in a 3-and-a-half-star hotel. Push the boat out, why don't you!

Craig:- "You've always told me if you want something enough, work hard and you'll get it"

Beth:- "Did I say that?...It doesn't sound like me"..

The forthcoming battle of minds between Pat and Todd is like the credits on one of those hip-hop music tracks - Phelan v. Grimshaw ft. Big Eileen. I believe this is the vernacular.

Had to feel sorry for dopy Eva, but to be fair to Aiden it wasn't his fault she put two and two together and made five.

Phelan and Vinny are slowly winding gullible Sally into their web of deceit, will their dastardly scheme work?

Meanwhile, big changes are afoot over at the bistro, how long before 50% partners Nick and Robert come to blows..... with preggers Leanne stuck in the middle?

Up to the moment she was "sent down" Izzy was in tears from pain, and couldn't survive on prescription medication alone. She has a couple of weeks in the slammer, and now she's full of beans and happy with the pills from her GP. Odd recovery.

I've lost track of the Connor family. There's zillions of them, and the whole family tree has me confused. I thought for a moment that Maria was being incestuous, but then remembered she was married to one. Honestly, I can't keep track - surely Carla was married to one, but then her dad's one too, WTF is going on? Maybe Wacky can draw up a family tree for us.

(Hard luck Gary, you'll have to grit your teeth, and fake it.)

Looks like an unlikely friendship will be striking up between Rita and Gemma, I can see Rita becoming her default "mum".....Gemma's a good kid really, just been in with the wrong crowd at the Dog and Gun.

Regarding the Connor family tree, I don't think even Alan Turing, Albert Einstein and Professor Steven Hawking together would be able to work that one out....smile

This might help....(a bit)

I think it's a toss up who is the most wooden, Maria or Caz, although I did feel sorry for Caz when Luke pulled that dirty trick with the flowers to dob her in....

So Carla became a Connor after marrying Paul, but her dad is a Connor too. What was Johnny in relation to Paul? His uncle?

This is like some arranged marriage malarkey in the Hindu Kush.

Aidan oh Aidan!

Just when we thought some of the regulars were wooden, along come Corrie extras, like the hen party, so wooden they're like Nelson's fleet. Plain embarrassing - surely casting can come up with some jobbing actors better than that?

PS Gemma's gold outfit! laugh

PPS Let's all hope the director continues to portray Eva from side-on. Oh yes. Oh yes.

Spotty dog was the best. His legs would move back and forth, and yet he didn't move from where he stood.

Gemma's one of the brightest young actresses to come on to the street in recent times, there's something appealing about her, I think it's her innocence, she reckons she's street wise but really she isn't.

She's unfortunately had a bad upbringing, hanging around with all the lowlifes in the Dog and Gun.

I think her and Rita will make a good pairing, with Norris in the middle stirring things up....
