Other soaps have had "after the watershed" episodes - I wouldn't mind seeing one of those for Corrie involving Eva wink.

I agree with you about the gay/lesbian quota. The number in the Street is out of all proportion to real life, well in my neck of the woods anyway. I'd like to see more "real life" situations we can all relate to. I can't understand this obssession with murder and mayhem, dramatic events and plot lines that are simply absurd. It's the same with all soaps. In the real world we all "get by" and spend an inordinate amount of time worrying about money - Tyrone's debt storyline has all gone away and everybody can afford to buy pints every day in the Rovers, and go away at the drop of a hat for a holiday.

Let's see some real life....
Yes, I agree with all that, except perhaps the "watershed" episode bit.

Let me have a think about that for a minute

The comedy and intrigue are hardly used anymore what used to be a velvet glove is now a hammer in the style and tact department - why make an statement when you can hammer one home!

Mary doing Community payback could have carried on as could Sally the snobby councillor and where is Norris !!! all forgotten to have stabbings and dastardly dealings on screen

Exactly. The writers feel they have to tackle social issues, but why? Who cares? It's supposed to be an entertainment show, not a documentary. I just want to see ordinary people going about their ordinary lives, with some good humour and witty banter.

Must say Ken is making a very convincing job of playing a stroke victim, he's got the curled lip off to a tee, having seen quite a few victims (including my mum).

First class acting.

So what is Peter Barlow's dark secret? Any ideas.....

I see Jenny Bradley seems to have got her feet under the table with Johnny Connor, I can see her being MD next. Crafty minx.

Mrs WR reckons Robert and Michelle are going to get a thing going....I'm not so sure.

I noticed a couple of episodes back that he seemed to be taking an interest in Michelle, and thought I might have missed something. Last night was a bit creepy, when he asked her into the empty bistro for coffee. I don't understand the connection between them, there's been nothing in the past that I can think of. Having said which, I reckon Mrs WR could be right.

Peter Barlow has been either a) knocking off someone's wife, or b) renting out someone's yacht without their knowledge and permission. Whatever it is, presumably it's going to follow him to Weatherfield. Good few weeks coming up I suspect, because there's also going to be the denouement of the Phelan/Vinnie scam.

I wish the cast, Kev in particular would stop banging on about how fast David must have been going, Kev even saying 300mph.
David drove 50 yards tops in a st car on a slippy surface cant have been out of first gear so 20-30mph absolute tops.

Which begs the question - how did the car manage to overturn? Typical soap copying Hollywood. Everything has to be spectacular, exploding cars and lots of flames and loud noises. It's puerile.

I was watching it on catch up this evening, Sarah said pretty much the same thing to me.

I replied 'if he plays his cards right he could be in for a mother/ daughter threesome!'

I don't think she was impressed.......

I'm guessing Jason wont be back in it for a while as I have just seen he is playing Buttons in the Xmas panto here in Swindon which would be a bit of a trek for filming too.

Also I'm finding it really uncomfortable seeing Faye with her new boyfriend. They look like they are brother and sister, same mouth, eyes, nose, face shape. I'm probably just weird but the Mrs agrees, who knows maybe I have stumbled onto the next plot like that it will be her brother who was adopted too
