Looks like he could be in the clear then, providing he can soft soap Eileen.
That won't take much effort!

Fat Brenda could be a stunner for all we know. Maybe it's a Curly Watts-esqe nickname.

Vinnie must surely be in either Mexico or Hawaii. Doesn't the UK have an extradition treaty with both places? Pat knows Vinnie's new fake name, and presumably he could be traced on the passenger manifesto within minutes.

Would it be in Pat's interests to get him back for trial? There's the conundrum.

is it worth extraditing someone for 100k?

I think fraud is considered quite a serious matter, irrespective of the amounts involved. Having said that, I'm no barista (sorry I meant barrister)- knowing the shortage of manpower in the present police forces, you could well be right.

The grappling kiss attempt was Corrie at its worst. Cringeworthy.

I don't think they owned either the land or the building, it was just a derelict old mill that suited their purposes, owned by a property company miles away.

Probably never even applied for planning permission either.....I know there was a bit of discussion with Sally a few weeks back.
That's my understanding of the scam.

Re Phelan, and in general terms, is it an offence not to help someone you dislike if they are dying in front of you. Can you be charged with anything?

Would it be "endangering human life"? Clearly wouldn't apply to Kirk.

Not really. Their life is endangered, but it's not you who endangered it. Just failed to react.

Interesting question, an omission is not usually an offence but their are exceptions - if there is a relationship - a duty of care/contract etc. parent, doctor etc., as he was on Phelan's building site and not just in the street, you could probably waggle some charge or other as he would ultimately be responsible for H&S on site and thus have a duty of care to anyone entering the site regardless.

Theoretically he could return. If the Plod decide that Vinnie is wholly to blame and believe Pat and Todd's story, then he could be seen again because he's got the bare-faced cheek. I despise his character, but he keeps the Street on its toes.

Yet all of these people gave them ten's of thousands pounds, (instead of the normal £500), and the solicitors and mortgage valuers who would have been instructed weeks ago have not shouted...

It is a stupid stupid plot...

Pat has a nerve still hanging around. Seriously - in this situation would nobody at all get in touch with their solicitor? At wich point the land registry would reveal the ownership of the land and buildings.

Clearly Daniel has taken the Jag. Presumably we'll have a soap plot now which allows him to sell it at auction without proof of ownership.......I reckon he has debts and then some.

Well I honestly though we had seen the last of Phelan, looks like he might be around for a little bit longer...

Jason on the loss of his £65,000...

"Well, it was never really my money anyway".........Easy come, easy go.....

Still, he's got enough tiles to re tile The Trafford Centre.
