Compare this Webster's garage to the one that burnt down tonight....

Nothing like it....there was a vast open space to the right of it, not backed up against the knicker factory, like in this photo:-

For me the whole "Pat Phelan" story is just getting silly now, he just always seem to be in the right place at the right time, and are people really that daft, come on Corrie. sort it out, or I'm out.

Plus it had two sliding/folding doors, one next to the other, when someone was coming out of one, firestarter came out of the other in one scene!

Agree. He's played the villain for too long and the storyline's getting stale.

And anobody who put a deposit down on the flats he was converting seems the least bothered that they've lost a fortune.

I find it quite extraordinary that the police haven't at the very least interviewed Phelan and Todd about the missing money. Surely someone reported it? Not all the fleeced purchasers were from the street, many must have been buyers from elsewhere in the area, and there's no way in this world that they would just let this go. Even though on the face of it, Vinnie has conned all and sundry, none of the buyers has yet asked why the flats had not been worked on at all, bar having some tiles delivered.

Dumb storyline.

It seems generally accepted that we don't like Phelan, but every soap needs a villain, and he's as good as they come. I reckon the Corrie team have decided he needs to stay. More frustration for us on PH, but at least we've got someone to boo and hiss at. Presumably Andy and Steph do a runner, thus incriminating themselves over the fire, missing tablets etc. and Phelan is not suspected, even though in reality they would have had no motive for any of it.

Meanwhile, Daniel preys on thick-as-champ Sinead.........
