How long before Tracy tells Phelan that Luke was planning the trip to Bristol to try and find Andy?
Exactly what I was thinking at the time. Not that Phelan's got anything to worry about - just because Andy never made it to Bristol doesn't mean something dodgy's happened to him.
I suppose so, but it's bound to make him sweat a bit.

I'm warming a bit to smarmy Adam Barlow, most people love a good villain to boo...

So Sophie's going to be the world's first female window cleaner....I wonder if she'll be wearing tight jeans when she climbs up the ladder?......nerd

Plus the stiletto heels she usually wears for working in the garage. As you do.

Ken's only having the kitchen re-fitted. I can't imagine the bill's going to be much more than £3/4k. Hardly worth doing a runner for that sort of sum, surely? Maybe Phelan's worried that the whole thing is going to catch up with him.

The whole cocaine plot is starting to get silly. So many people now know about the stuff, and seem happy to talk loudly in public about it, yet nobody else ever hears them. Ken would wonder where Adam got the cash for his office, and wouldn't hesitate to go to the police about it. It's all another stupid plotline.

My wife and I have watched Corrie for many years but are fast losing interest; I understand there is a new writer/producer and it is all getting a silly/farfetched. Real pity.

I am getting fed of all the soaps having blokes kissing, why on earth do they think we need that?

.
My first thought was that of course he shall, but then I also thought it's not that much money, and now they married him off to Eileen they're not going to just bin him without something really juicy.

Probably because there's years, no, decades of prejudice against minority groups (including gays) that needs redress. 19 years ago I went on holiday with a gay friend, and remember well how many insults were passed off as 'jokes' and how it was deemed OK for others to be homophobic. I even witnessed one amoeba threatening to stab him at dinner one night, a resident in the same hotel. When I reported it no action was taken. If it had been the same 'man' threatening to stab a woman I doubt such a serious threat would have been ignored.

If soaps and the like need to show such things to help it become 'the norm' then that's fine by me.

How do you feel about the soaps showing women kissing?

I couldn't care less about who snogs whom- it's 2017 and we left all that homophobic nonsense to rot in the 80s didn't we? I am far more concerned about Rosie's acting - obviously she is never going to trouble the BAFTA's - but on current form she wouldn't get beyond an audition for Penistone AmDrams . And the coke plot is just absurd . Love the Sinead/Ken dialogue , and the Mary performance in the Rovers the other day was a delight - it's the little stuff that has always made The Street special , not daft plots which could have been made up by a nine year old .

I have absolutely no problem with people's choices, and have worked with a number of gay people, They are good people. I personally just don't se why we need all this on all the soaps, you dont see men or women walking down the road kissing, not here anyway. Don't seem to see it on other programmes either.

But let's not labour on this subject, I was just making a general comment. So I will leave it there, back to the thread.

Good post. I don't mind a daft plot if it involves Mary. She's away with the fairies, anyway. Whatever happened to that autobiography she started some time ago? I remember her reading out aloud to someone in the Kabin, and they assumed it was an escapist novel, only for Mary to drop a hint that it was something that had happened to her, and we (the viewers and avid fans of said woman) were left in the dark.

Mary's public demands answers! I reckon she could carry a 30-minute sitcom on her own.

Really?! (Just sticking with soaps)... You've never seen Eastenders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Casualty, Holby City, Brookside?
They've all jumped onto the "look how homophobic we aren't" bandwagon at sometime!

I can't say I've noticed anything odd, although his hair is luxuriant in the manner of a young Ken Barlow.

However, his character is a bit creepy. Like the kid in your class at school who always sat apart and had odd hobbies - the one who used to be pretty good at most subjects, but never great at any. Used to finish up about 5th or 6th overall at the end of the year, but nobody knew much about him. Mysteriously nowhere to be seen during PE or sports classes. Strange parents who didn't want to meet anyone else's. There was one like him in most years. I have a feeling he's "using" Sinead, popped his cherry and now he'll turn his attentions to another girl with a bit more intellect. Not Rosie......

I'll love it if the drug dealers discover Adam has flogged it - he needs a good pasting.

As I said soap operas, that covers Corrie, Eastenders, Emmerdale, the other three you mentioned never watched them.

I've no problem at all with gay relationships (either sex), but they do seem to be promoting them into the storylines a bit too much (imo)

Holby City (Which I watch every week) and Corrie especially.

Still, this is 2017, not 1964.
