Some corkers from last night's episode, after Kylie stormed out of the salon:-

Audrey:- "Well she has put herself under a whole lot of pressure with this Max episode"

David:- "Yeah, that's it"

Liz:- "This MDMA thing"

David:- "ADHD"

Liz:- "What is MDMA?"

Maria:- "A type of wood isn't it?"

Mad Mary looking back fondly to an old school romance:-

"It was a brief relationship, mostly taking place in the cello cupboard......I see him in town with his other half....Clive!"

Great stuff:-

The Street is beautifully written , terrifically acted and has strong plot lines backed by even stronger characterisations. I am not ashamed to have been addicted for decades- and I don't watch any other soap . Spend 10 minutes watching popular but utterly ste TV ( Downton, Srictly ,X factor and the rest) and you will realise that there is lowest common denominator tabloid telly and there's good telly like the Street. It's been said before but if Dickens were still writing he'd probably be doing scripts for the Street.
I could have written this....if I was more ellikwint. Pretty much sums it up.

The first 10 mins was back to back humour, there was more to laugh at there than 10yrs of Eastenders.

Nobody notice it was a Saab 900 that was being cleaned in the garage the other day? Tsk I thought this was pistonheads!
Didn't see the full car, but the curve of the windscreen is unmistakable. My GF was well impressed (not) when I said thats a Saab 900!

Nowt wrong with that, although I think she's been reading this thread and seems to have toned down her plunging necklines as a consequence, in recent episodes.

She's in the family way, as the old saying goes, so they're getting bigger all the time.......

I didn't know that. Young Jason's a bit of a lad although perhaps I'm mixing fantasy with reality wink

Supposedly to find Max's dad and tell him about the ADHD. The underlying sub-topic is whether she's looking for drugs.

Thought the same thing. Without exception they all over-acted to varyiing degrees. Massive contrast to the acting quality of the regulars

I'd have assumed the opposite.

Why? Ritalin calms down people with ADHD. It has the opposite effect on those who don't have ADHD.
