Did I ever mention I stood right behind "Carla" in a queue at Manchester airport, she is TINY, I would estimate around 5ft tall...looked very glamorous though...
Roy & Carla?...stranger things have happened there over the years.........
Regarding viewing figures, what people forget is when the street used to pull in 17m every week, there were only four channels to choose from, now there are hundreds...
Going to be a few explosive episodes coming up over the Chrismas period, mainly involving Gary and David.......The street finished?....never.
Off topic:- Just a reminder that the third series of "Last tango in Halifax" is due to start soon with the excellent Sarah Lancashire, I never really liked her before, but I have to say she is excellent in this.
And finally just to say,, a very merry Christmas to all contributors to this Corrie forum.......

I'm just trying to "read" the potential plotlines (no spoilers please) and I know there's going to be trouble between David and Gary, but I've yet to work out why.
Meanwhile, the writers are making a bit of a thing about the friendship of Kevin and Tim. They've become "brothers" - is there a menage-a-trois on the horizon? There's already two lesbians-without-dungarees in the house, which is becoming a residence of mild deviance.
Will the chickens survive the holiday season? Gary is out for vengeance, and feathers may fly.
PS The Dutton is finished - why haven't we seen it? BRG and whitewalls, leather seats, it's going to look OK as long as they've put a proper dashboard in.

Until he broke into Roys Rolls I was actually feeling a bit sorry for Gary. He'd had a really bad run of luck - it happens to many of us at some time or other, and much of what occurs is beyond our control. I couldn't really understand the hostility of the Armstrong/Windass families towards him - it seemed totally over the top.
OK he's a bad lad for drinking Fay's money, but breaking her headphones was just an accident. And many of us have fallen for an unsuitable girl, and had hearts broken. Yet the family treated him like a pariah, all complete overreaction. Anyhoo, he's had his comeuppance thanks to Roy's trusty Gunn & Moore. Interesting storyline, but how long before the real yobs get found out?

Just watching the latest episode on catch up, not got to that bit yet - but if I was Gary, I'd have gone to town on Owen. I am sitting here seething. What a c**t.OK he's a bad lad for drinking Fay's money, but breaking her headphones was just an accident. And many of us have fallen for an unsuitable girl, and had hearts broken. That and Roy's tormentors.
I think Owen is taking all his pent up frustrations out on Gary, mainly because he seems to think they all started when Gary attacked Phelan in the builders yard. This of course is rubbish, Owen's troubles started when he never saw the warning signs going into partnership with somebody who he already knew to be a shark.
There is definitely no excuse for Gary breaking into Roy's Rolls but sometimes people resort to desperate means if there seems to be no other way out. I think Gary is a good guy really.....
Good job Roy stopped when he did, otherwise there would have been another murder on the street.....
Tim is turning into a great character, the perfect foil for Sally's snobbishness...
Will Kylie return in the near future? I can't see David bringing the two youngsters up by himself...my guess is she will be back in a month or two.

Kyle, no, not until she has had her sprog, but there is a much more interesting character returning from the that "stable" or so I'm led to believe....There is definitely no excuse for Gary breaking into Roy's Rolls but sometimes people resort to desperate means if there seems to be no other way out. I thought cabbies rented their 'slot' from the cab firm who then took a cut of whatever they earned, therefore no 'salary' as such?
Obviously not at "Streetcars".....Plenty going on last night over at the cobbles.....
To be honest, I thought the writers were stringing this storyline out far to much about Steve, it's been going on months, but last night it all came together superbly...well done Granada....
Will Eileen be able to pay her mortgage?
Will that irate cabbie be headhunted by Levenshulme Limo's?
All this is going on whilst Lloyd is over in Portugal, he is not going to be a happy bunny when he returns...
Meanwhile, Anna does not seem to have any sympathy with Roy, over the attack on Gary, even though Gary is trying to play it down.....I think she needs to cut Roy a bit of slack...what do you think?
Norris seems to have got the bit between his teeth regarding the haunted house, I can see this developing into a very funny storyline, if Amy eggs him on........
