Any risk of Mr Dennis threatening Simon Russell Beale or Mark Rylance as Britain's finest actor recedes at the speed of light . Week after week ...dire.

I liked Tyrone's "match talk" to Luke prior to his evening with Liam.

I didn't like Luke not giving the accepted acknowledgement to the taxi driver for causing an emergency stop and retrieving the ball. Common courtesy, mate.

The odd couple friendship between Carla and Roy is brilliant. But I'm having trouble reconciling this award for Underworld after they've had such a poor year in business terms. Exactly what is it that has merited the accolade?

Yes, very strange....from what I recall, Underworld has spent more time losing orders and upsetting buyers over the last twelve months...

It needed a "substantial" order of £15,000's worth of frilly knicks to save them from going under recently....rolleyes

Speaking of Underworld, Sally Webster is really starting to get on my tits now with her sense of self importance and sh*t stirring throwing her weight around, and to think I used to like her character several years ago.

Young daughters...who'd have 'em......

The North-West Trade awards night could make for good viewing. Free bar.........and Beth will be there. Will Underworld drink the place dry? Carla could rue this decision.

(OT - has anyone been in a bar/pub where the place has run out of drink? I know a cricket club from Norfolk who achieved that feat when touring Yorkshire. TBH it was only a small village pub.)

Will they get there though ?

Carla winning a business award does apply as she pays the wages of 15 odd people with no valid revenue stream to justify it oh and for marrying a drunk philanderer.

"And the award for growing money on trees goes to....."

I'd forgotten about the minibus business TBH - is it on the way there, or the return journey?

Yes, but funnily enough it was almost exactly the other way round. We were a team of cricketers (some from Yorkshire) who drank the clubhouse dry* at a small cricket club in Suffolk (which is near enough to Norfolk).

  • when I say 'dry' there was no beer left and most of the spirits had gone. To make matters worse it was a bank holiday weekend so no chance of restocking.

Doesn't seem to bother other soaps, some of the school 'kids' in Brit school based soaps, Neighbours etc. seem to be pushing 35!

Can't see what the problem is....

"Ken Barlow" is around ten years younger than Bill Roache.....

Think there is more to this than they are letting on....scratchchin

She could pass for fourteen though...She'll be grateful for her young looks when she is 50 and all this is forgotten.

And it's not exactly done Jeanette Krankie's career much harm either.

It's more Jurassic part 2: the lost world to me. No doubt a man with a winch is going to turn up in a minute, who finally gets eaten by a pair of Trex's!
