Don't get me started;
Chorlton and The Wheelies

Cloppa Castle

The Flashing Blade

and far too many others to mention.
Love Cholton, and all Cosgrove Hall stuff.
The others...I had no memory of, till I watched them, I recall the opening sequence of the Blade, and the bushy eye-browed baddie and the stupid little one in Cloppa Castle. I must have caught repeats. Funny how memories come back.
It also led me to this, I still remembered the opening tune. biggrin

edit
watch for the segways, back in the days when the voice-over man waited until the programme had ended!!

Cosgrove Hall made the best stuff, hard to replicate. Shame it ended.
DM and Duckula were both awesome.
Absolutely, Cosgrove Hall were also responsible for the animated version of the Big Friendly Giant (which also features David Jason) and the Wind in the Willows which were huge hits during my childhood and must have been repeated on TV hundreds of times since the late 80s.

More castings http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-30267...

Colonel K - Stephen Fry
Richard Osman - "a jellyfish scientist called Professor Strontium Jellyfishowitz."
Kayvan Novak - various characters
Ed Gaughan - Baron von Greenback

Osman was kind of inevitable with Alexander Armstrong being in it, but Stephen Fry as Colonel K (I'm imagining him channeling Melchett from Blackadder for this hehe ) should be really good.

I hope there is a lot more to it than that. Seems to have missed the point of the original.

Yep, that was good. The very slightest niggle would be Baron Greenback's voice, maybe not quite there. But generally a big thumbs up smile .

Few bits and pieces here: http://metro.co.uk/2015/09/28/7-things-you-need-to...

Of the 52 episodes, about half of them are done, all of them will be done by this time next year.

There's a Christmas special with Brian Blessed as Santa!

I caught it on iPlayer last night and I thought it was bloody brilliant. A worthy successor to the original.

Edit: I agree that Baron Greenback's voice wasn't quite there. DM, Penfold and Colonel K were spot on though.

Nice touch to reference David Jason, Terry Scott and Edward Kelsey in there as well.

Hmmm, I was really looking forward to this and whilst they got many things right, personally I felt the pace was frenetic and there was far too much 'noise'. Far more so than the original as I recall, although maybe I'm wrong.

Dave Lamb as voiceover is a masterstroke mind.
