I think you may mean "clunge"!?
For the record, "clunge" and "flange" were both used in the series.

I've recently finished re-watching the entire series from beginning to end, so I'm now something of an expert!
However "clunge" is a made up word that Jay is known for; "flange" isn't.

I knew the word "flange" well when I was a kid - I liked Meccano.

Are you absolutely sure about that, it seems to have been around for ever (Derbyshire)

Clunge is old, but I thought he was saying Jay popularised it.

Never heard of "clunge" before the Inbetweeners however whilst I wasn't saying that Jay popularised it; as alluded to in a few posts above, he certainly did.

I thought the first film had some good moments (especially the dance scene), but that doesn't look great.

Maybe it's because, actually, they don't all look the same as before (rather older) that the puerile comments that made you laugh at them now just sound, well, a bit sad...

One to miss for me.

I hope this film flops so we are spared the threquel.
I'm not surprised they've made it. Three of them have the range of a block of wood.
Feisty one,you are.

Have there been any films that we're as good as the tv series?
Can't think of any...

The film was good, but the series was superb. Its the first time anyone has captured what being at school is really like. One of my mates was just like Jay smile

Watched it last night, really enjoyed it. Several points had the whole cinema roaring with laughter. If you liked the Inbetweeners, then this is a must. biggrin
