Their diesel bill must be quite the read.
And Parker's too, I'd love to know just how much they actually make in a season what with paying wages, plant hire/purchase, insurance's, and maintenance.....

I've only ever seen Tony beets show any sign of wealth , nice winter house that Parker visited once . Everyone else lives in a dream and lives like a posh tramp on the tv , it's the same on all of the other gold programmes , work your arse off for a possible half decent wage and live a bit rough for a few months just in case you strike it lucky , tv probably pays more than gold ?

nicked....

There is a lot of misinformation on the internet stating that they receive anywhere from $500K to $500 per episode. By looking at other reality shows with comparative viewership I estimate the crew of Gold Rush: Alaska makes about $2M per season or roughly $100K per episode.

Estimated
Todd Hoffman - $25K/episode or $500K/year
Parker Schnabel - $25K/episode or $500K/year
Dave Turin - $15K/episode or $300K/year
Jack Hoffman - $10K/episode or $200K/year
The rest of the $25K/episode or $500K/year is split between the rest of the cast. Of course they get to keep the gold they find.

TV Show Series Info
2011 Season 1: 11 Episodes 3.32M viewers
2012 Season 2: 21 Episodes 4.59M viewers
2013 Season 3: 19 Episodes 4.57M viewers
2014 Season 4: 20 Episodes 3.96M viewers
2015 Season 5: 21 Episodes 4.15M viewers

For comparison, the Real Housewifes of Atlanta average about 4M viewers and the "actors" make almost $2M per season.

He did throw a number out a few weeks ago. Think Tony said his operation was burning 10 gallons an hour, and Todd said his was doing 10 times that much.

I suspect your estimations are quite a bit too high. In the words of Dakota Fred, after refusing to continue being on the show:

There's a lot of newish looking Volvo plant and Caterpillar D9s on these sites too. It wouldn't surprise me if they get those loaned to them for the show either.

The money provided to the miners by Discovery Channel, along with equipment subsidies, put these miners in a position to continue mining while losing money...

Gold Divers is back on Tuesday night.

I've got my fingers crossed that the walking nervous breakdown that is Emily Riedel will finally be drowned. She is hands-down the most annoying human being on the face of the planet.

Of course, Todd barely makes enough money from mining to cover his fuel bill, let alone wages and all the new gear he needs. He had his ass handed to him several times in earlier series, especially when he went to the jungle!

The others do seem a bit more switched on, Tony Beets obviously is a professional, and Parker seems to make a good fist of it even if it doesnt always go well.

As long as she was wearing the diving mask to stop the inevitable whinging ! If she mined a gazillion dollars worth of gold she would still find something to moan about
That said , any offspring of Steve riedel and ex partner of the other nut zeke is never gonna be stable .
Defo would though , may not brag about it afterwards !

Way back when in series 1, when it was all about non-miners trying their hand because the 'Great Recession' put them out of work they showed a few other mines - they were all huge commercial ventures, gold mining on an industrial scale.

Only now are the various mining outfits shown on the show reaching that sort of size, IMHO when they're actually viable businesses.

The famous Big Nugget mine that John Schnabel ran was a hobby really for his kids, John made his fortune from a Lumber Mill.

Anyone know why Parker is still mining the berm cut and 'fantasy island' after her secured virgin ground to release Gene from his contract?
