Cant believe as a police trainer I would get complaints if I raised my voice.

Good on those boys, big respect for them all.

The fact that he is called Froggy is a bit of a giveaway.

If your on about the main guy then he is a corporal and is french, hence froggy.

A big improvement over ninety percent of what gets put on TV these days, feel sorry for the Scottish bloke who got medically discharged.

So what's with the sleeping naked, why is it such an offence to sleep in your under crackers?

It's not, it's just the way that guy likes to teach. Everyone teaches slightly different things.

I'm a bit surprised by the caliber of individuals joining. The guys I know who joined the RMs were all super fit, well educated high achievers before they became marines, these recruits look a complete rabble.

It's just another selectively edited modern show like all the others. Done in an Apprentice style, so I'm treating it the same way I treat the Apprentice.

There was one on a few years ago, BBC I think that was much better. I think it was this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sK9e-bUZq14 but without watching all 4 parts it could be another, there have been a few.

That's one thing that's disappointed me. But they've only showed about 5 of the 60 in the group. The ones that get it straight away aren't good for TV.

I think only 20 of the 60 actually finished training in my troop.

Yes I get it.

Anyone else want to tell me he is French?

I enjoyed watching it, memories flooding back at every word and scene.
Now I'm not entirely sure but I think a lot of this has been made softer for tv, they get treated fairly well compared to how I was through basic and phase 2.

Obviously, when it comes to the actual AACC it'll ramp up a st load but so far, looks like they had it pretty easy.

Sounds like a couple of people on here have been to Lympstone, a couple of other questions spring to mind:

1) They get up at 5:30am, what time do they get put to bed?
2) What's with the showing them how to wash, shave and iron. Are your average late teen / early twenty year old that useless these days?

I'm sure there will be more as the series goes on.

Good telly though.

Froggy is still eating as if he's a serving soilder by the look of it. 5 weetabix and a cuppa soup!

Chubby lad, needs to get on a diet, he'd garner more respect if he practiced what he was preaching I'd have thought.

It's like having a fat dietician, they rarely do well.
