Late to this, loved it. Grindah is a clone of David Brent but it's still fantastic.
Actually based on this guy.

He looks like a really nice guy!

I have to say though I think Brent is much more of an 'influence' on him. Watch this clip and tell me you don't see the massive similarities between the 2.

They are very upfront about much Tower Block Dreams and The Office they used as direct ‘influence’

A fact that surprised me - only heard recently - it was actually Mich(elle) & Steves that were going out in real life before the series started.

Has anyone been to see the film? Is it worth a trip to the cinema?

Problem with any mockumentary is that it will inevitably be compared to The Office. BBC’s This Country was along the same lines and at first sight I found it unwatchable as it was so obviously influenced by The Office. Gave it another try after recommendations on here and ended up enjoying it. Best to put any comparisons out of your mind and just enjoy these other shows for what they are.

PS that’s just a general comment and not directed at anyone.

Yes it is much better than films of its genre usually are. Really worth watching and even the mrs who had never seen PJDN enjoyed it.

I love it, I am not bothered that it is a copy of Brent - I think the show is great and laugh out loud. The best show for years.

Anybody watched the film?

Thought it was a bit daft and not as clever as the series' but still very funny. Really enjoyed it.

Yeah paid £15 for it on Amazon, i dont really see the point of seeing this kinda movie in a cinema setting.

As for the film i thought it was OK maybe a little tired but i had watched all the episodes though my partner who had only watched a couple found it funny.
