I was crying with laughter at the end!
Other "Airplane!" references I spotted were the mention of having fish or chicken for the meal, engine number three running a little hot and stewardess (Kelly Osbourne) telling Fin to calm down. Also having just checked the flight number is the same - two zero ninner. I think I know that film too well!
Also "Independence Day" cloud formation, shadow over sports field when Judd Hirsch turns up as a taxi driver (nod to Taxi TV series).
Finally, Statue of Liberty head flying through the air - Cloverfield?

I quite enjoyed both Sharknado movies. The worst one I saw was Sand Sharks about sharks that swim through sand. Not worth bothering with.
Had Sky installed over the weekend and managed to catch Ghost Shark (I'll let you guess what the twist is in that one). Great stuff, utterly ridiculous garbage and yet utterly compelling at the same time, just to see how bad it will get. Thats this months payments justified (Mrs bstb3 was less convinced in fairness). Some Gump said:
"2 headed hshark attack" is on now. God it's bilge.
Watched that one lastnight, the best acting in it was the shark It also introduced me to the, um, talents, of Brooke Hogan (Hulk Hogan's daughter). Specifically Brooke Hogan's breasts. They stayed in the bikini, but they did seem to be on screen all the time.
Sharknado 4 is coming http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-33635... (The image and article does say what happens at the end of Sharknado 3, so, SPOILERS!)
