More agreement for

Catweezle, Noseybonk & the Moomins

The Enchanted Castle hasn't been mentioned, men made from sticks & paper bag heads coming to life

But I raise you all with Threads, the 1983 BBC about a nuclear attack in Sheffield. We watched it at school, I was @ 11 and it terrified me, had nightmares about nuclear war for years afterwards

Yeah I saw Threads at a similar age and it had pretty much the same effect. Always get a shiver driving through Sheffield even now. Not entirely sure it was a kids show, although if you saw it at school then fair enough smile

The whole movie is on Youtube too, if you fancy revisiting it. It's well worth a watch.

Noseybonk from Jigsaw (Didn't bother me, however, I've saw him mentioned a lot in the "weird/creepy" kids shows category).

I remember that, it didn't really scare me because I didn't watch it, however I can imagine the scary fker jumping out on me, with a big big knife.......eek

Been watching these vids.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaUWKm0lnmo&in...

And looking at old kids shows now, which prompted memories.
Managed to track down Tottie: The Story of a Doll's House, but I sort of recall two more, any help?

The first's main protagonist is a doll, but she is made of paper, and pretty small, may live on the mantelpiece? Maybe a pin holds her together?
The second may be the same one, some small man, or something lives in a clock and interacts with more smaller people, not sure who?

Yup, me too! Also Planet of the Spiders...

Anyone remember this from Space 1999:

Tentacled space monster would grab victims while psychically 'willing' them towards itself before stuffing them into its gob to incinerate them before ejecting the smouldering burned corpse across the floor. I was only sevenwink
Dragon's Domain, epic Sci-Fi, Space 1999 had a habit of scaring the crap out of you, Force of Life and The Troubled Spirit were similarly brown trouser inducing episodes when you are under 10.

The one which really used to scare me witless was "Children of the Stones".

Loads of episodes on YouTube, and it's still a bit freaky, even now..... eek

Heresy, Pipkins was delightful. Granted, Lady Octavia the Ostrich's singing was pretty scary.

(Of course Sue Nicholls [Mrs Muddle?] now looks considerably older and plays Audrey Roberts in Coronation Street.)

I seem to remember an episode of Round the Twist where they were being chased by some sort of scarecrow, and one of The Real Ghostbusters involving zombies on a farm that both terrified me
