I really struggle with Mel and Sue. I think Mel on her own would be Ok but Sue Perkins is painful to watch.

I loved their stupid accents, thought they were both very funny and make a great duo.

I agree, I like a bit of pure silliness every now and again.

Morrisons do something close. No jam but several layers of sponge, creme pat, cream, green marzipan topped dome shape.

They don't call it princess tårta, something daft like festival gateau. But it's unmistakable, usually only have a couple on the island display. Good luck in there being one left.

Remember Brendan Lynch from series 3? The older gay chap, quite good at challenges he had managed to practice but struggled with technical challenges.

Read today (Telegraph) that at the end of the series he had been baking and testing so much that he had a digestive disorder. That was diagnosed as ulcerative colitis and he now has to avoid gluten, sugar and lactose.

However he has lost weight, got it under control and is in good health. But can no longer eat many of the bakes he used to love. All brought on by stress and excess which should be a lesson for us all.

Louis, Richard and Chetna will be the finalists.

Martha is on her way - she has done really well to get this far with a-levels on, and with so little life experience behind her, stringing together 8-9 weeks was going to be so, so tough

If Richard doesn't win this, it's a fix.
