In better news Colbert has his final show on CC before leaving to take over from Letterman last night. It was emotional with a huge cast of the great and the good led by John Stewart coming on at the end. Colbert has been lauded all week and even had Obama on. It's going to be very interesting to see what he does with the Letterman slot.

Well it's seemed to go down quite well with the public. I watched the opening but nodded off until the closing credits. Will have to try DVRing the show.

He's been getting very positive reviews prior to the start of the show and his initial guest list is very strong. The US media have been pretty kind so far.

I was supposed to see Craig Ferguson live last week but the Scots tt cancelled the show at the last minute.
