^^^^ good shout, utter psycho.

"row row row your boat....."
That role was his first ever film role and more or less stalled his career - he mostly only ever got offered similar roles offered to him.
was also very creepy in Hellraiser. In fact there could be a few nominations for that film.

On a musical front the performance by Heart (Ann and Nancy Wilson) for the Led Zepplin in 2012 a the Kennedy Centre is quite breathtaking. On decent speakers this is amazing.

GOod suggestions all throughout.

For me though, even above some of the brilliance suggested, I think I would have to say Brad Pitt from The Assassination of Jesse James. He was utterly sublime and the scenes with him (which were most of them) were utterly electric (in a similar way to the tension in the first scene of Inglorious Basturds)
I just watched a couple of youtube clips and had forgotten how brilliant that one is (if you do the same do not watch one titled "best scene" because although it is true, it is also the perfect ending of the film and a giant spoiler)

Brick Top in Snatch.

I know he's supposed to be funny, but that sort of thing makes my blood run cold. I love it that he gets his comeuppance in that film.

I think it might have lost some impact because it was such a huge film and I'd guess most of us have watched it more than a few times:

Especially during his escape, the almost emotionless way he destroys the guards.

two from the same film.

michael beins' "he absolutely will not stop..." speech from Terminator and then Arnie's first "I'll be back" in the police station followed by a cold calculated massacre of people in the station...

say what you will about arnie but he was tottaly emotionless and cold blooded in those scenes, chilling for its time...

Also odd that their best song "Alone" contains the lyric:-

"And now it chills me to the bone."

Mr Pitt in Kalifornia, as the red neck Erley... Particularly unpleasant - great acting

Although I've never seen the whole film, the parts I caught of Dickie Attenborough in '10 Rillington Place' remained quite disturbing for a long time. Possibly because it's based on real events.

No mention of the killing of Bambi's mum yet?

For his first part in a major motion picture, this guy was a pretty convincingly nasty piece of work:

This, for sure.

I muttered 'oscar' to my OH halfway through the first scene when it came out. Just brilliant

Have you seen any of the other films mentioned in this thread? In fact have you seen any films at all that do not have Arnie in them?
