I watched it last night. It's good, but much much too long. The fights and violence exceed the levels even of the first film, however - and Gareth Evans has taught himself an extra trick or two from making Safe Haven in between.

Missed it at the cinema and picked it up yesterday to watch last night.

A little bit disappointing if I'm honest. The first one is one of my favorite films, simple story line and brilliant fight scenes.

This Raid 2 was more drawn out, I thought that in the first movie if it wasn't a fighting scene there was a tension about it. Couldn't feel as much of the tension in this and there are some quite long drawn out scenes.

The first one I have watched a few times, not sure how much the new one will stand up to repeat viewing.

All that said I enjoyed the first one more on the second viewing, so hopefully this will be the same!

Got round to watching it last night. The action scenes were amazing and it was shot beautifully. It really needed some serious editing though, 2.5 hours and it really drags in places. They could have lost 40 minutes easily.

finally watched it last night, could not believe how crap it was compared to the first one!! Way too long, no real tension and some dialogue so quick I had trouble reading the subtitles in time, and I watch quite a few subtitled films frown

The first one was an epic film and I have to say that I was disappointed with the second one as well. As already said, it's far too long and although the fight scenes were good, they just weren't as special as those in the first film.

However the fight scene in the kitchen was excellent - probably the best one of the film.

Loved the action scenes, was confused by the story and thought there was too much padding in the middle section of the film. I'll definitely watch it again though.
