Better Call Saul - Prequel to Breaking Bad
Discussion
They all should have got Emmys.
I watched most of BCS with my son. A great bonding experience and we both loved it. He brought home a surprise yesterday. A Cinnabon. My god, if you ever feel like a fast track to type 2 diabetes, this is the way! So much sugar and fat!! Won’t be able to watch a rerun of those pastry making montages without a wanting to vom!

Thought the last few episodes were painful, really dissapointed with the ending. I could only think it was so kinda disjointed and full of nonsenses; the shop 'heist' etc that it reflected a nervous breakdown Jimmy was going though living his vanilla life. Dull, tedious, really dissapointed
I’ve avoided coming in this thread as I’ve just binge watched all the episodes and this was my thought exactly. All the other episodes and story arcs were great but the last few were a disappointment. Brilliant series though. I've been binging BCS these last few weeks..... I've never watched Breaking Bad
I'm Upto the last few episodes and it seems to have ended abruptly with Kim announcing she's leaving and then it's all gone black n white and jumped forward to god knows when
All very confusing and disappointing

Even though it is a prequel, you do need to watch BB first really. None of the black and white bits will make any sense if you haven't because they are flash-forwards to events after BB (spoilered in case V8covin doesn't want to know)
I have one episode of BCS left on my most recent BB/El Camino/BCS re-binge.

I’m slightly envious, having watched Breaking Bad more times than is healthy. I'm Upto the last few episodes and it seems to have ended abruptly with Kim announcing she's leaving and then it's all gone black n white and jumped forward to god knows when

Now would be a great time to crack on with all the Breaking Bads. It’ll put earlier Saul into perspective and enable maximum enjoyment of the last Saul series. Polish the whole thing off with a dollop of El Camino and sit back, content (if a little bloated) that you’ve consumed one of the best series of modern times.

I did try to watch BB some years ago but didn't take to it, don't even think I completed the 1st episode.
Not much point me finishing Saul then.
Oh well
The first few episodes build the story and they do take their time over it. We almost bailed after a few at the start. Not much point me finishing Saul then.
Oh well
If you do make it through, treat El Camino like the next episode and don't leave it to later. I watched it as soon as it was released but hadn't watched BB for a while as was "Eh? What? most of the way through and didn't really like it. Having now watched it straight after BB it is really good.

….almost bailed after a few at the start. BUT so glad we didn’t as once it got going it was one of the most comprehensive, gripping pieces of tv I’ve ever seen.
I was a victim of the Breaking Bad hype in that I had such high expectations that I was really disappointed by episode 2. So much so I gave up.
Then, laid up in bed several months later with nothing better to do, I started watching YouTube videos of Mike in BCS and thought - oh that looks good. Not realising it was the prequel to BB.
Luckily, someone saved me and told me to stop watching BCS immediatly and get past the first few episodes of BB.

What's El Camino?
ste...I found the first series of BCS to be a bit meh, probably because lots of it was dark and bland as it was shot inside his brothers house who had blocked out all the day light. But knowing how much I loved Saul Goodman in BB made me persevere and I'm glad I did. Thought it wad fantastic and for me was on a par with BB. Although I haven't got around to watching series 5 yet, as I want to rewatch series 4 again first.
