In last weeks episode we learned that Mike killed two cops before leaving Philadelphia in a bit of a hurry
To be fair to him, he knew that they had killed his beloved son...

You know what. You have to admire the sheer brass balls and commitment for them to play six solid unbroken minutes of basically the coolest track this side of a Tarantino movie whilst Mike staked out the Kettlemans. No dialogue or pace there whatsoever. Awesome cool
Yep - long enough for me to think several times about Shazaming it and it was still playing by the time I actually got up and hit Tag!

Loved the scene where he pulled up in the car, think it was before he went to see Chuck and there was a chrysalis hanging in shot. Seemed to suggest a change or transformation was about to happen, possibly a new beginning.

Great show.

Any Mrs Kettleman, def a case of the mental.

I had to go back and check that that scene was actually that long!

It certainly didn't feel like over 10% of the episode while I was watching it.

Finally binged on the first 4 and a bit episodes of this. Thoroughly enjoyable show.

I think it has helped that I haven't seen any BB since the finale in Sep '13(!!) and have watched a ton of other shows in between.

Really great seeing known characters pop up biggrin

After all, once he becomes Saul Goodman, how far can they take it before BB starts, the story is a cul de sac really.
BCS is set six years before BB, which spanned two years altogether (Walt's 50th to 52nd birthdays) so there's plenty of room timewise.
I mean the regards to the character - there's almost infinite opportunity for Saul to get up to all sorts of stuff, thanks to the way TV time works - but the character cannot easily go past 'Saul Goodman' - if the series had started with him as he was in BB then it's reduced to a sit-com with zero character progression.

Although I've just thought, there's absolutely no reason why say... series 2 couldn't end with him in the dessert with Walter ready to kill him and series 3 start with him working in the Cinnabon and go from there - that would be good.

Have they said either way?

I can't see it having anything post BB (the opener excluded).

Doesn't work that way.

Shows are signed off for 1 year at a time normally, so the BCS and BB teams can only focus on those 12ish episodes. Vince has said often they first decide on how the season will end and then the rest of the shows are written inorder to land there.

Bob mentioned some things in an interview but it's nothing certain, just they're exploring many options.

Hmmmm I had to look at the BB/BCS Wikia to remind me of Saul's fate and satisfyingly he is still around post BB so who knows.

Either way I imagine VG will have a million ideas for after this first season.

Oh and season 2 has already been approved
