confused

Wasn't one of the points of this episode to paint the blonde lawyer as a good guy all along, someone who is putting loyalty to a friend over money and taking the blame for it all?

It was, absolutely.... but he's stil a tosser of the first order. I wouldn't hit him mind, he's taller than me.

I'm not sure if we'll see him become Saul next week to be honest.

Binge watched 4 to 9 over a few days. I like the pace of it, and its been about Mike as much as its been about Jimmy/Saul. The sex toilet guy was great, properly laughed at that talking toilet and how proud the guy was of it hehe . and as said already, Trevor from GTA, Mrs Kettleman, the time they take over things like the little old lady on the stairlift, all good stuff.

Don't know if this has already been said here or on the BB thread, but part of the reason it looks the way it does is for streaming video. The camera not moving, with the characters in a small part of the frame gives you a smaller file size to download than a moving around shakycam style, because a lot of the image stays the same through the scene.

I don't suffer with either, but I far prefer the fixed camera approach. They seem to hold shots for longer, and again I like that. It means the performance and story has to be better as you are not being distracted by the way its filmed.

I'm glad they give story time to Mike. Great episode.
Me too.

I thought Mike was the best characture in BB, and its great to see his back story. I love how he always looks so dead pan/pissed off. When he needs to be violent its very understated. No drama no excess, just getting the job done.

I'm wondering whether

the big row with his brother last week and the non-job at HHM will be what drives him away from Chuck to the extent that he then changes his name as a fresh start?

Or am I over-simplifying?

In my view: Jimmy is only trying to be good and make something of him so his brother would be proud of him, as Chuck helped him out of the trouble he was in prior. He only did Law due to his brother being a respected lawyer.

He doesn't seem to have any parents or other siblings, so its only Chuck and Kim who are keeping him in line.

Chuck had to either die or betray him as Jimmy couldn't be Saul against Chucks disapproval, so now its only Kim standing in the way.

She has already turned him down once, and I reckon she will end up dating Howard as last weeks revelation of him being a selfless victim loyal to Chuck would have raised her opinion of him, plus it probably was no coincedence that he confided in her when he had no need to.

So Chuck let him down, Kim falls in love with the guy who asisted Chuck = hello Saul!

Love this show, a great finish and a lot lined up for S2.

So many little details like the ring, the way his true brother Chuck and his 'brother' Marco were the two big forces.

Who was Mike talking about on the phone? "You've worked with him before"... Fring maybe? Can't wait to find out.

Oh and this shot is genius, facing East

Indeed.

...and the 'kids in the back seat' made me spit coffee all over my lap. Great stuff.

Enjoying how this is going against so many typical and expected TV show traits. A perfect example being that finale.

So, who spotted it, and when? There was one of us in the show wink

Great I really enjoyed it but will have to put it to the back of my mind until next year :-) Considering re watching BB as I binge watched a lot of it I feel the need to slow down and take it all in second time around.

I watched all of BB a second time and it was WAY better. Humour I'd missed jumped out... well worth doing.
